The Tale of Hou Yi and Chang Er

I wrote this before two years ago, to commemorate Midautumn Festival. But I think some of you might miss it, and so… I’d like to uh… copy, paste and edit my old article over here. *Lazy mode on* Nah… actually I’m not that lazy, but I’d like to share the story of Hou Yi and Chang Er with all of you folks over here. Wouldn’t it be a shame if all of you out there keep pigging out on mooncakes and yet does not know why you actually eat it?

Mid-autumn festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. It’s also known as Mooncake Festival because a special kind of sweet cake prepared in the shape of the moon and filled with sesame seeds, ground lotus seeds and duck eggs is served as a traditional Mid-autumn festival delicacy.

Nobody actually knows when the custom of eating moon cake to celebrate the mid-autumn festival began, but there are traces of it back in 14th century. At that time, China was in revolt against the Mongols. Chu Yuen-chang, and his senior deputy, Liu Po-wen, discussed battle plan and develops a secret mooncake strategy to take a certain walled city held by the Mongol enemy. Liu dressed up as a Taoist priest and entered the besieged city bearing mooncake.

He distributed these to the city’s populace. When the time for the year’s mid-autumn festival arrived, people opened their cakes and found hidden messages advising them to coordinate their uprising with the troops outside. Thus, the emperor-to-be ingeniously took the city and his throne.

Mooncake of course, became even more famous. And so, every year people eat moon cake and enjoy the harvest moon with their family to celebrate the victory over the Mongols. This is one of the story on mid-autumn festival that I’m familiar with but my favourite tale on how Mid-Autumn festival originates have to be the tale between Hou Yi and Chang Er.

This tale on Hou Yi and Chang Er may differ from the ones you have heard, as they are so many versions told from one generation to another.

The one I’m more familiar with is this one. Once upon a time, there live two immortals in the Heaven, they are Hou Yi and Chang Er. Hou yi and Chang Er were lovers who goes through great obstacle before their love is approved by the Heaven.

The Heaven was ruled by the Jade Emperor and his Empress. One day, ten sons of Jade emperor accidentally transformed into the sun, and revolves around the earth playfully, causing great drought and suffering to the mortals below.

Worried and concern for the mortals, the Jade emperor summons the imperial archer, Hou Yi to help him solve the problem. Hou Yi then went to Earth and shot down nine of the Jade Emperor’s sons. The emperor had thought that Hou Yi would not harm any of his sons. Now that his sons are dead, the emperor was very furious. In anger, the emperor took away Hou Yi and his wife’s immortality and condemn them to live on Earth forever.

Chang Er was grief stricken with her loss of immortality. Hou Yi could not bear to see his saddened wife, and so, he decided to steal the immortality pill from the heavenly medicine manufacturer so that both of their immortality could be restored. He manage to steal the pill from heaven, and brought it to Chang Er. He told her that they only need to take half of the pills to regain immortality.

In the meantime, the Jade Emperor found out about the stolen immortality pill, and command an imperial guard to retrieve the pills and catch both Hou Yi and Chang Er so that he could punish them for their misdeed.

And so, the imperial guard went down to earth in pursuit of the couple and the pill of immortality. But the guard himself was tempted by the idea of immortality. So he waited until Hou Yi is not at home, and attacked Chang Er who is defenseless at home. He demanded for the pill but Chang Er refused to hand it to him. Hou Yi, who seems to forget his arrows went back home to get it and discovered that his wife is in danger. He fought the imperial guard courageously.

Unfortunately, Hou Yi is an archer, not a fighter. He was stabbed right in his heart in front of Chang Er. Chang Er was grief stricken, and wishes to die with her husband too. However, Hou Yi’s dying wish was for Chang Er to regain her immortality and live happily for all eternity.

So, Chang Er took out the pill from her sleeves and swallowed the whole pill so that the guard would not be able to get it and obtain immortality. Right after swallowing the pill, Chang Er started to float towards the sky, and after flying for some time, she landed on the moon. She cried and grieve for her husband’s death.

Her cries was heard by a group of Jade Bunnies that lives on the moon. They went to her and listened to her story. These Jade Bunnies were captivated by Chang Er’s beauty and kindness towards them, so they built a palace for her to stay, knowing that she could never return to Heaven or Earth. They hailed her as their goddess and pledge allegiance to her. These bunnies can be seen pounding on the face of the moon on some cooking utensil.

It is believed that these Jade Bunnies are trying to make resurrection pills so that they could revive their Goddess’s love. It’s said that the resurrection pills is shaped like a mooncake. But it’s not dictate anywhere on whether Hou Yi was revived or not, but in many folklore, it’s told that Chang Er would bestow blessing of love and happiness to lovers who pray hard and sincere enough to the moon during mid-autumn.

According to my husband, however, there’s only one Jade Bunny on the moon, and it’s actually the reincarnation of Chang Er’s husband. He told me that the Jade Empress took pity on the couple, and so reincarnate Hou Yi as a Jade Bunny so that Chang Er will not be lonely on the moon. That explains why Chang Er can always be seen with a bunny everywhere she goes on the moon.

On his explanation to me on why the Jade Bunny is depicted as a creature that’s always pounding on the face of the moon, he said that the bunny is actually chopping a tree which is supposed to be indestructible. Only when he manage to chop down the tree, he will turn back into his original form, and only then, he and Chang Er would be forgiven by the heavenly beings and would be allowed to return to Heaven.

The story of Chang Er and Hou Yi touched many hearts, and with time, people started to celebrate mid-autumn festival by gathering their family and enjoy the sight of the harvest moon together over tea and mooncakes along with other delicacies.

People usually bake mooncake and eat it in hope that Chang Er would bless their mooncake and they would lead a happy life with their loved ones. The mid-autumn festival celebration is also a symbol of appreciation and gratefulness on what they have in life.

However in the modern days, mid-autumn festival is pretty much commercialized. Children these days do not really know what is the meaning of mid-autumn festival besides eating mooncake and playing with fancy lanterns. Maybe you guys should tell your children what mid-autumn festivals really supposed to mean, instead of just allowing them to have fun with their lanterns.

Anyway, my good friend Cynthia is selling mooncakes. No… she is not re-selling them. She bake them from her own kitchen, and if you haven’t order your mooncakes yet but intend to buy some, you might want to consider Cynhia’s mooncakes. Early birthday pressie…

My birthday is still quite far away. Sept 2. But I already received a birthday pressie… from Smallkucing and his Mamarazzi the last time I met both of them in… uh… our usual haunting place. 😀

Smallkucing’s Mamarazzi made me a pretty batik bag for my upcoming birthday. I like it very much and used it as a bag that I use to bring my stuff to the poolside when I go for a swim. (She not only gave me a pretty batik bag, but she also fed me with loads of nice food…unfortunately, all of them are gone now… I forgot to snap picture! LOL)

See… nice, isn’t it?

Here’s a clearer picture of the handmade batik bag…

A pretty bag, sewn with a lot of love and patience. Want this kind of bag? Well, dream on. Hahahahah. LOL. Mamarazzi told me she’s retiring from sewing, and won’t be making anymore of this… and she’s not going to sell her artwork too. LOL…

Thank you, Smallkucing and Mamarazzi. I love the bag so much, and it’s a very special birthday present because this is one bag that not even money can buy. Better than LV and Coach. 😛

Cleffairy: The best thing in the world can’t be bought, won’t you agree on that with me?

ps: Paparazzi, Smallkucing’s father on the other hand, gave me uh… some sort of… drink that I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to mention here for my upcoming birthday…considering a lot of you are faint hearted and highly imaginative. LMAO. Big Bird gave Little Bird a very exotic drink… so Little Bird says thank you very much for that too. LMAO.

Ladybird’s bookmark…

I checked my mailbox yesterday, and this came in…

It’s a bookmark, from Mommyling’s blog giveaway. 😀 It not only cheered me up and brightens my day and night, but it also made me laugh like some madwoman the moment I laid my eyes on it.

Do you know why?

Because the bookmark that Mommyling chose for me, really represent me. My real name is Elizabeth, and just look at the girl on the bookmark. She’s holding a ladybird in her hand.

Okay… maybe I’m not making sense, but you might want to know that little birds and ladybirds are closely related to me.

Smallkucing, calls me either Little Bird, or Ladybird. (Smallkucing couldn’t pronounce my name, and therefore, instead of calling me Auntie Elizabeth, he calls me Auntie Little Bird or Auntie Ladybird when he sees me instead)

Mommyling knows this too. LOL… I daresay she chose this bookmark cuz of the Little Bird joke. Anyway… this makes me feel special, cuz Mommyling kept me in her thoughts… enough for her to remember my little nickname given by Smallkucing and his Mamarazzi. 😀

Thank you Ling, for keeping in my thoughts and spending time to choose this cute bookmark for me. Initially I wanted to give it to a friend of mine, but since this one is very special… I’ll make sure it goes into one of my books instead. I’ll use it and keep it safe. Thank you very much. 😀

Cleffairy: If I’m not mistaken, Mommyling got this bookmark from HERE.

I’m thinking of you…

I was feeling a bit sulky last night and I got irritated pretty easily. Must be the damn hormones wreaking havoc in my body again. (No… I’m not pregnant… not that I know of) Either that, or it’s simply the nasty weather that gets under my skin.

God have a very funny way of reminding of things and cheering me up, though. When I went out with my husband for some supper, I saw these at the hawker’s stalls.

It says:

Have you joined the facebook of Sarawak Kampua Noodles? (Good grief, now I’ve seen everything…what else is not on FB?)

And this…

Pete’s Kitchen.

Did you know what I thought of? The moment I saw these… I was instantly cheered up… cuz I thought of STP and Pete.

The Kampua noodles  stall reminds me of STP who is constantly luring people to Sibu, Sarawak to visit him and try all of those well famed Sarawakian delicacies such as Kampua Noodles.

You see, I wasn’t really feeling at the top of the world when I was browsing around for supper… but the very second I saw this, I remembered STP’s advice where one should live one day at a time, and take the world as it is, instead of how I want it to be. (Re: Serenity Prayer.) I was soothed then.

And then, the second stall really reminds me of Pete, a foodie blogger whom I have been friends with for 2 years. It made wonder if Pete has opened up a stall and did not inform us fellow bloggers for the fear of being raided? LOL…Hmm… Pete… is this your stall? LOL… aww… come on, tell us… these days… I do food review for free, you know? All you need to do is just feed me, and I will review for you. FOC. ROFLOL!

Cleffairy: God have a very special way of telling me that I am not alone, no matter where I go. When I’m feeling down, He sent me signs everywhere… just to let me know that He is around, and all I need to do is just talk to Him, because He is listening, and everything will be all right again.

THIS IS NOT A PAID POST

As I said, this is not a paid post or a paid review. I was not compensated for writing this, but my good friend Cynthia is making mooncakes and she’s selling them too, so I thought I’d post it here. I’ve been a recipient of her generosity all these while. She kept me well fed with her cakes and cookies, and I can assure you that all of the things that came out from her oven is delicious, and crumbs licking good!

Her cakes are better than Secret Recipe (especially her chocolate cakes) and her cookies are much more delicious than those you get in Famous Amos! (My personal favourite is her chocolate chip cookies)

Can you believe it? If you don’t believe it… you’re gonna have to try her cakes and cookies yourself, and you’ll be begging for more, seriously. Well, I know I’ve been begging for more over and over again. I can never get enough of her baked goodies. 😀 ( I wonder what she put in her goodies? Love potion? So addictive!)

Below is her mooncake price list:

Thoughtfulness

I received a notification from Pos Laju last week, saying that they have tried to deliver a package to me but failed, since I was not at home, and I was requested either to call them up for a re-attempt of delivery, or pick the package up myself within 14 days.

I was really perplexed then. I wonder who sent me a package, as it’s not common for me to receive something before having known beforehand that someone is sending me a package. I asked around, and nobody admits that they sent me something.

It was weekend, and I had to wait until Monday morning before I could make necessary arrangement to retrieve the mysterious package. I wondered… if it’s books? Some publishers have the tendencies of sending me books for reviewing purposes…then I scratched off the possibility, as none of the publishers are generous enough to use a secure postal service, including my own publisher. (tsk tsk tsk!)

Then I wondered if it’s clothes… a dress or something of that sort… but then again, who would want to send that to me for a review? I’m scrawny and wouldn’t pass for a model for a million years anyway. My body shape is pretty unflattering for my age… and one could easily mistook me for some school kids from afar.

I was hoping that it’s some food from my mum who is living far away, but if it’s her who sent me a parcel or something of that sort, she would let me know beforehand, and since she didn’t… I can safely assume that the parcel is definitely not from her, and there goes my dreams of having some home-made dried food such as meat-floss, cookies as well as chocolates and candies. 🙁

Alas…my miserable pondering and wait comes to an end. I finally went and pick up the mysterious package from the post office first thing on Monday morning.

The package came from someone whom I least expected, and the content of the package is really surprising too. LOL…I never expect to receive a package from Annie Q(gosh, I don’t remember giving her my address… I must be turning senile!) with Sarawak genuine peppercorns in it. LOL…

It was really thoughtful of her to send it to me. It seems that my shameless, countless request for Sarawak peppers on STP’s blog caught her eyes, and she decided to give me some, considering her mum, who lives in SIbu came for a visit in KL with loads of goods from Sibu. LOL… thank you very much Annie, for sharing the peppers with me 😀 I was really surprised with your package, and it really got me laughing when I saw the content. I never expected someone to send me peppers that could last me at least one year! It was really a pleasant surprise…

There’s nothing like a Sarawak peppercorns to pepper up my day! 😀

Cleffairy: Thank you, Annie, for being so thoughtful. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts.

ps: Cikgu, aren’t you glad that I won’t be pestering you for peppers anymore? LOL!

Thank you for loving me…

This is a thank you entry for someone who is very special, and also a birthday dedication. 😀 And no… this is not just for my husband, but for Annie’s two darling boys.

I saw in Annie’s blog earlier on today, that her boys just hit the big number 5, and coincidentally, I had some birthday cupcakes picture from my husband’s birthday and our 8 years anniversary celebration. I thought it’ll be appropriate if I greet her two boys too over here as well.

The cupcakes was made by Cynderella 😀 The Queen of All Sweet Things and the mother of a sweet Cupcake Princess, especially for my husband’s birthday and our anniversary. And I couldn’t thank her more for cooking up her cupcakes for me. They are absolutely sinful and arousing to the tastebuds.

The chocolate cupcakes melts in the mouth and it was so heavenly, and could rival those cupcakes that you can buy from Delectables. And I daresay they are much better than Delectable, as these sinful cupcakes are labour of love. I would any day have hers than any other found in bakeries. And not even Secret Recipe can rival Cynderella’s cupcakes. Her cupcakes are absolutely magical.

Thank you very much, Cynderella for all the sweetness you brought into my life.

And happy birthday, Fearles and Cruz. Stay sweet like the cupcakes, all right? May you both grow up strong and wise. 😀

Cleffairy: This closing message is especially for those who love me. Thank you, for loving me, and for being in my life. And below is a song dedication for you. 😀

Thank you for loving me

It’s hard for me to say the things
I want to say sometimes
There’s no one here but you and me
And that broken old street light

Lock the doors
We’ll leave the world outside
All I’ve got to give to you
Are these five words when I

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes when I couldn’t see for
Parting my lips when I couldn’t breathe
Thank you for loving me
Thank you for loving me

I never knew I had a dream
Until that dream was you
When I look into your eyes
The sky’s a different blue

Cross my heart
I wear no disguise
If I tried, you’d make believe
That you believed my lies

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes when I couldn’t see
For parting my lips when I couldn’t breathe
Thank you for loving me

You pick me up when I fall down
You ring the bell before they count me out
If I was drowning you would part the sea
And risk your own life to rescue me, yeah

Lock the doors
Leave the world outside
All I’ve got to give to you
Are these five words when I

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes oh, when I couldn’t see
You parted my lips when I couldn’t breathe
Thank you for loving me

When I couldn’t fly
Oh, you gave me wings
You parted my lips when I couldn’t breathe
Thank you for loving me

Thank you for loving me
Thank you for loving me
Oh for loving me

Sharing IS Caring

Scheduled entry

I bet most of you are probably pretty annoyed with me by now for putting too much advertisement and reviews up here in my blog while I’m away doing God knows what.

You must be wondering why do I start to write reviews or do paid post by now, cuz too much advertisement in one’s blog can get pretty annoying.

Well, you can be honest, because I am annoyed too when I go to blogs that puts up too much advertisement or popups.

Let me justify my course of action, though. I do it because I needed the money, not because I wanted to earn more so that I could have a lavish life.

Why do I need the money? Ahh, here comes the jackpot question. Well…cost of living are getting too high and these days, every single cents help. Plus, I wanted to save for my master programme. Yeah… you read it right. I want to go back studying, but I’m afraid, I’m quite insufficient of fund for I’m not quite qualified for either sponsorship or even scholarship. So, I suppose, this is one of my way to earn my ass for my Master.

You see… as of late, I’m bored shitless for all the nonsense that’s going on around me to the point that I think that it would do me good if I go back to study. Kinda sick seeing idiotic bimbos, you see. I need some intellectual boost and so, I went to a certain tertiary institution, and check out some thesis based Master programme.

Sounds preposterous? No… I think not. I think it’s almost time for me to upgrade my status from just a freelance to a student who is freelancing. And… what’s better way to motivate my kid to study than to be a student myself when he goes to primary school?

I think it’ll be better to motivate my brat to study by showing that I’m also studying rather than just force him to study. Plus…I won’t allow marriage stop me from pursuing my dreams and education. I can have the best of both world, so why not? I just have to believe in myself and make extra effort for it.

Gosh, I’m straying… back to why I do paid post these days. You see, folks, while I am married, I am not the spoiled and pampered kind who gets to do whatever I like, whenever I want, and get to buy stuff on whims just because I like it and wants it.

Geez…. I even forgot when was the last time I even receive a birthday present from any of my family members cuz some people tend to take me for granted; just because I am there or them all the time. Sometimes, I felt, even my friends are way better than my own family when it comes to spoiling and pampering me.They make a good job making me appreciated.

For what it’s worth, I don’t have such privileges of being spoiled rotten, and therefore, here I am, ‘prostituting’ my words for some extra cash. Well, at least I am just ‘prostituting’ my words, no? It’s way better than going around using my sex appeal to earn some extra cash like some people, no?

Don’t you guys dare say that I earned a lot from this, cuz the fact is, I don’t earn much, and the money that I ‘earned’ from these reviews are not credited directly into my savings account. I have to wait until certain amount to be able to cash it out. Yea… it works something like the damned Nuffnang or Adsense. You will have to wait til a certain amount is credited into your account before you can cash it out.( If you’re lucky enough, that is…they might not pay you and banned you before you even cash it out). So far…the amount inside my ads account haven’t even reach half the amount required. 🙁 One word: Fuck!

While writing and posting up ads, I promise that I will not mislead you folks by making you think that it’s not an advertisement. I’m not that kind of blogger. If it’s a paid entry, then I will write that it’s paid or sponsored. I won’t hide it, so that you folks have a choice on whether to waste your time to read on, or just skip it.

Some of you probably would leave comment and ask me how to make money online and stuff. Well… as someone very special to me shared with me how to make money via blogging, I won’t hide it from the world on how to make money by doing paid posts, after all, caring is sharing. I’ll share what I know with friends. I may sound bitchy at times, but I am not bitchy enough not to share what I know from my friends and try my best to hide the good stuff or even freebies that I get. I will share the source with you. You can count on it.

So… if any of you out there are already asking how/where do I get all these ads, it is here:

https://blogvertise.com

That’s one of the place that I get the ads, so, if you want, kindly look it up if you are interested to get ads for yourself to write. There’s instruction to follow over there. Look it up.

And why am I sharing all this with you when I can just keep quiet about it? Well… firstly, as I said, I am not a selfish person.

Those who knows me well could vouch for that though I often appear to be obnoxious most of the times. Many people misunderstood me cuz of the way I dressed up and the way I express myself, but then again, why should I give a damn on what brainless bimbos think, anyway?

And secondly… I know many of you out there are not exactly rich asses as well. I know most of you are also struggling to make ends meet, and so, I see no harm in sharing this little information with you. So… go and make your own extra cash if you want to. 😀

Cleffairy: Sharing good stuff with your friends is caring. I’m not sure if a lot of people are willing to share, these days, for many demonstrate selfishness openly in blog-o-sphere and thought people wouldn’t notice.Tsk tsk tsk…people notice, duh… what you think people are? Dumb bimbos?

ps: A special thanks to the lady who shared with me on how to earn money thru blogging. I am forever indebted to you. Thank you very much. I owe you heaps. If I earn a lot, big makan or a sodomized chicken is on me when you’re in KL. 😀

Bloggers meet up& fried rice…

I attended a…secret blogger meet-up cum ice breaking session yesterday, and I have to say, it’s really refreshing to be able to hear bloggers talk about something that really matters and could probably saves the world from mass destruction and how to make the world a better place for the next generation instead of the usual annoying camwhoring session, stupid nuffnang stuff or even how to attract traffic to one’s bloody blog.

I enjoyed it very much, and I would like to thank the organizer for inviting me for the blogger meeting. The meeting was rather intellectual and one of the kind, and this is going to sound very weird coming from me, but I enjoyed everyone’s intellectual view and the intense debate. It was so much fun. I have forgotten when was the last time a blogger’s meeting was as interesting as this, and I’m actually looking forward for more.

There was many familiar faces, and everyone has so many things to say and time passed by so fast.

The organizer provides dinner, of course, but no one were actually so keen on touching it, cuz perhaps the topic of our conversation was too interesting that we neglect to feed our tummy.

Anyway, below is what the organizer prepared for us talkative chaps.

Apple pies and pineapple pies. I didn’t have a go at these, so I don’t know whether it’s good or not.

Curry puffs and cinnamon rolls. The curry puffs are very spicy, and I had two of these. Not bad at all.

Chocolate danish and some sort of custard puff. The chocolate danish is something to die for. I like it a lot though I thought that it wouldn’t suit my taste buds when I first saw it.

The organizer also prepared some fried rice for us, and most of the bloggers who attended the meet up didn’t even bother to touch it or even eat it.

Most of them claimed that they were on a diet while some others says it doesn’t look appetizing enough, but do you know what I did though I agree with them that it doesn’t look really appetizing?

I brought the container containing the simple fried rice back. To be honest, it doesn’t look appetizing, but hey…why waste food when I could actually improvise it?

I decided to improvise the fried rice by cutting the chicken to bite sized pieces, add some chopped garlic, soya sauce and salt as well as fried eggs. Now, doesn’t it look much better?

The moral of the story here is, never ever let good material goes to waste. If you actually make some effort to improvise, the outcome would have been fantastic, and in this case, yummy and edible. All it takes is just some creativity, passion and patience. Don’t you agree with me, dear readers? It’s such a shame if you let good material goes to waste when it can actually be a yummylicious gourmet.

Cleffairy: Patience, creativity and thinking out of the box is what it takes to make things turn out better than before.

2 in 1, Happy Birthday, beautiful angels…

This is one of the time of the year where I wish I’m rich enough to buy lavish gifts to pamper my friends. I am not rich, this is the best I can do…writing a birthday dedication to not only one, but two.

First of all, here’s wishing a happy belated birthday to Mommy Ling, a pretty, young mother of two. I did not really know her earlier on, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that she’s just around my age, and sweet to boot, unlike me, whose mood is always sourish at all times, and with a temper that can match those live volcano that can erupt anytime.

Yeah, I’m not the kind who can be provoked and I hardly have any sense of humour, but I believe, Mommy Ling is the sweet and docile kind. Mommy Ling is a full time working mother, and therefore, it is quite hard for me to ahemm…to drag her into any of my evil schemes cuz I’m quite flexible with time for being a freelance while she’s not. I do look forward , however, to turn her into an evil being like me.

LMAO… Okay, that’s a bad joke. Mommy Ling would probably run away with the speed that puts an F1 car to shame when she saw this, but what I wanna express here is that I’m looking forward to meet this sweet lady with nice temperament. It would be nice to meet with her daughters too. 😀 I hoped she had a blessed birthday and more peaceful and happy years to come.

Happy belated birthday, Mommy Ling. Stay young and beautiful, and be happy always.

I am bad at writing birthday wishes, am I not? I hope most of you are not bored to death yet, cuz I have another dedication to make, and this time, to my long lost evil sister.

I happened to stumble upon this long lost sister of mine who is definitely my partner in crime earlier this year. She’s beautiful and fiery in nature as well. And in many ways, she’s just like me. We both shared a lot of same interest and I enjoyed her presence in my life immensely. And being the younger one, I get to be pampered and spoiled rotten by this elder evil sister of mine.

She may not admit that she’s been pampering me and the ones she care lately, and she even would threatened to whack my butt silly for even saying this, but I know best. She really do care. Her love for friends is always genuine and unblemished. I love her for that, despite of her evil-ness.

I am not quite sure if she wants me to reveal her identity for she’s quite a shy and low profile person. I’ll just play it safe and spare myself from the agony of suffering her ‘I’ll crucify you for this!”.  By doing so, I’m also sparing my innocent readers the gory details of my… crucification. Yeooowch! (No… I was joking about that. She wouldn’t do that. She’s above killing, believe me.)

But I can’t help but write this for her, as she’s always nice to me, and she’s always there for me during my darkest hour. She was there for me when I was distraught and showered me with wisdom on how to deal with it. She also gave me comfort when I needed it most, and gave me inspiration on how to be a more evil being. She’s just an angel in the form of human being. The kind who will always be there for you and care for you when you needed her the most. A not so sweet, but very caring and kind lady. 😀

She’s one of those gift God sent to me, and I couldn’t help but feel so blessed with her existence in my life, for my life would be dark, boring, and unexciting without her in my life.

So here… Happy Birthday, Jie Jie. You were never just a friend. But a big sister to me. 😀 I’ll pray so that God will bestow you everlasting happiness and peace, and repay all your good deeds in your afterlife.

A big birthday hug for both you, Jie… and Mommy Ling. 😀

Cleffairy: Some friends come and go. But a load others are there to stay for good. Treasure, and cherish them.

ps: I’m posting this earlier, Jie. I wanna be the first to greet you. But looks like somebody else beat me to it.  😛 And sorry for the late greetings over here, Mommy Ling. Do 2 in 1 birthday greeting more fun lah. (Wokay, I wasn’t completely honest, you can kick my ass for being lazy. I know I am lazy!)Kakaka
