An Insight into Fengshui with Amanda Leong

You know sometimes when you meet someone and you immediately feels uncomfortable with them? Or there are times when you go some places a room and you suddenly feel spooked and getting goosebumps but couldn’t exactly understand why you feel that way about the place as on the outside it looks like there’s nothing wrong there. Everyone likes to be around peole who they are comfortable with and a cozy home to relax in, but couldn’t actually achieve that regardless how they try. I am one of those people who tends to be on the sensitive side. I was told that the reason for this is that I’m quite sensitive to the aura that certain people or place emits. The Chinese calls such thing as Feng Shui. Feng Shui, literally translated as ‘wind water’ in Chinese language, is branch of pseudoscience
originating from ancient China, which emphasizes the use of energy forces to harmonize individuals with their surroundings and environment. People used to think this is merely superstitions that the Ancient Chinese practices, but Feng Shui has somehow evolved over the years, and more and more people have embraced this scientific art form and started to implement Feng Shui principles into their own lifestyle; regardless of their location and background. This complex form of science/art is used to attract positive energy through meticulous calculations, orientation, logistical thinking and product positioning. This intriguing mix of art, design and science is very compelling, and what better way to get an insight of it than to speak to a real life Feng Shui expert?

Four from left: Ms. Amanda Leong, Feng Shui& Metaphysic Consultant.

Worked herself all the way to the top as a General Manager in a multi-national organizations and holds a Master’s in Business Administration, Ms. Amanda Leong has led her company to be one of the prominent ground operator in the world renowned Formula One event not just in the Malaysia, but in China and Japan too. However, despite of her success, she decided to get out of her comfort zone and stepped away from a high paying corporate job to spend more time on things that really mattered in her life, like health and overall well-being.

With a goal to unlock the mystery of hidden illnesses which she was personally experiencing, Ms. Amanda Leong started to take interest in Reiki, Qi Gong and Chinese Metaphysics like Ba Zi, Feng Shui and Qi Men Dun Jia since 2010.

Fast forward today, she is now a Reiki Master and professional metaphysics consultant. She has successfully used Ba Zi to diagnose the hidden health issues that are not detectable by western medical professionals (doctors) and used Reiki, an alternative healing method to heal herself and others.

Her corporate experience, modern and practical approach on Metaphysics sets her apart from the older and traditional practitioners in the field because she is able to offer practical strategic business advices to her clients, guiding them to make better decisions with this ancient wisdom.

Every now and then, she is invited as a guest speaker for some global events participated by thousands of people, to share her successful experiences as a metaphysics consultant.

As a successful investor, she also published an e-book on investments as a goal to share her successful experiences and insights to ensure new investors are able to learn and avoid making the common mistakes as a new investor would.

During our up-close and personal session, Ms.Amanda explains that Feng Shui philosophy can be traced back several thousands of years in China, from early settling periods where farming and crop growing were practically the way of life for commoners. In it’s earliest origins Feng Shui focused on the identification of safe dwelling places where families could grow their crops and prosper. Feng Shui also played a significant role in positioning burial sites for family members and clansmen. As time goes by, this mystical art was later applied on a much larger scale with Feng Shui principles helping to build palaces, government properties and public monuments. Good location that brings luck and prosperity is everything for the Chinese back then. It’s main aim is to make pin-point detailed observations of natural and man-made environments, considering how the earth’s energy has a direct effect on areas and the influence it has on its inhabitants.

In the modern era today, Feng Shui is now a recognised service for home design, with interior designers drafting in Feng Shui consultants to work with their clients. Ms.Amanda is one of such practitioner.

According to Ms. Amanda, before any furniture are selected for certain houses or office, designers and homeowners will be adviced on how to get the best out of their space through item positioning and look to fully assess the area for potentially good and clean energy.

Other services offered are; Corporate packages (Reiki Training, key staff selection, product launching, Feng Shui, etc), Online consultations for overseas Feng Shui for residence and commercial, House Selection using Feng Qi Men Dun Jia via through Personal Destiny Analysis using Ba Zi
Divination, Auspicious Date Selecting for marriage, caesarean delivery, product launching, and many more.

Now, like many others, I used to think Feng Shui is nothing but superstitious practices and is only for the traditional Chinese, but having spent some time with the expert herself, I discovered that it’s not true. Feng Shui related things does make sense in some ways and can help to improve the quality of someone’s life and is definitely helpful in decision-making whenever things get out of focus.

Want to learn how to make the most of your living or work space by harmonizing its energy flow? Wanna learn Reiki and boost your wellness from inside out? Needs divination or simply need an advice on auspicious date for important events in your life? Well, then, drop by https://www.amandafs.com and find out how to bring the best of you through Feng Shui.

The VOID- Avengers Damage Control Review

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) characters as well as Avengers, I have some awesome news for you. The newest virtual reality experience, Avengers: Damage Control has just hit the Malaysian shore and is now available at The VOID in Resorts World Genting.

Being a Marvel fan for a decade myself, or rather, a fan of Iron Man, here’s sharing my honest review on the Avengers: Damage Control virtual reality experience in The VOID at Resorts World Genting.

So far, The VOID has done Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, Wreck-It Ralph: Ralph Breaks VR, Ghostbusters: Dimension, Nicodemus: Demon of Evanishment, and now Avengers: Damage Control.

Avengers: Damage Control takes the longest game time among other titles in The VOID. It’s about 40 minutes and I can honestly say it’s my most immersive VR experience so far.

The VR experience needs two to four players and it began when you and your team are ushered into a room with projector-like screen where Shuri , The Princess of Wakanda in Black Panther movie appears and give you your mission.

One thing that impresses me is that the message from Shuri was played exactly like the scene from Black Panther or The Avengers films. I wouldn’t want to spoil it for you but there is the Marvel Studios humour that we all love in the beginning of the game. It’s really nostalgic in some ways and makes me feel as if I’m really in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is really being recruited to be an Avenger.

After receiving the mission, you will be strapped in to the wireless backpacks vest that are responsible for tracking all of your movement as you walk from room to room. You will be also provided with extra-sensory Oculus headsets.

Once you’re all suited up in your ERS “Emergency Response Suit”, which is a hybrid of Iron Man and Black Panther’s suits, you’ll be taken to a room for some target practice. Now, if you are a first timer in all these, you’ll feel as a little weird wearing the weighted backpack and vest, but don’t worry. You’ll get used to it in a jiffy.

Basically, once you’re in the dimension and the mission is ongoing, the suit actually lets you shoot laser beams from your open hand.(Think Iron Man style). It’s really a cool experience, I must say. You can also use your palm as shield and absorb attacks.

The VOID- Avengers Damage Control is a totally a sensory experience. You can actually feel the heat when there are explosions were nearby or when you get shot. You can also feel the cold blast of wind effect when there are aircrafts flying around.

The mission is to join hands with other Avengers characters in the game to defeat the big boss and at the end of the experience, players will be given a score where you will be assessed based on the following factors: Number of Kills, Accuracy, Friendly Fire, and Energy Absorbed. Not sure how the scoring works, though. My score was really lousy and I’m really ashamed to share it with you. My teammates on the other hand, scored A. Even my son scored A while me…I kinda flunk. I guess I make a bad Avenger after all.

One for the album. I’m not a first timer with The VOID, but I walked away really impressed with this latest title.

So, The VOID- Avengers Damage Control a yay or nay? It’s a yay, definitely. I think this experience is worth your time and if you are a fan of MCU or Avengers movies, you’ll want to experience this.
The VOID is located at Level 1, First World Plaza in Resorts World Genting.

Scary Experience at Train to Busan Horror House in Resorts World Genting

Based on the blockbuster 2016 South Korean zombie apocalypse movie Train To Busan, Resorts World Genting unleashes a railway line of horror for two months that will offer a unique blend of horrific thrills and scary fun to fans of the movie and fans of horror in general.

Developed collaboratively between Resorts World Genting and virtual reality specialists Vividthree, the Horror House blends practical effects, intricate sets, as well as cutting-edge visual and virtual technology to fully immerse guests into a familiar world where the stakes are high and terror is always just around the corner.

All those elements, which made Train To Busan a runaway cinematic success, have been carefully transitioned into a unique, one-of-a-kind hyper reality experience at the Train To Busan Horror House experience.

The experience will consist of several areas, each with its own set of interactive activities. Following the plot of the movie – where the father and daughter meet in Seoul for a trip to Busan – the first part of the Horror House is themed around Seoul Station.

The second part of the Horror House takes place on the actual Train To Busan. This is where the actual spook begins for thrill seekers.

Just as the movie’s characters had to battle their way to the front car of train in hopes of surviving the journey to Busan (where a quarantine zone has been established), the Horror House tasks guests with a challenge: to make it from Train Platform and Passenger Train Carriage, through the Chemical Cargo Train and CDC Lab, to safety. The alternative will be falling as one of the infected and returning to haunt those brave enough to continue their adventure. Get to sanctuary, or fall trying.

You will find yourselves trapped in an apocalyptic version of the gigantic train station, fending off zombies and traps as they battle through environments such as the Long Corridor, the Toilet, the Supermarket, the Café and the Mirror Maze to reach their goal: the train that will take them away from this hellish nightmare.

Scary supermarket scene in Train to Busan Horror House. Definitely a nightmare material for even the most hardcore shopaholic.

The Mirror Maze is one of the confusing and challenging part of Train to Busan, I kid you not.

At the two Base Camps, those who have survived the ordeal of the train can take up arms against the horde of zombies in various Virtual Reality and other interactive activities.

These include strapping on body armour and wielding guns to defend the quarantine areas from invading zombies. Just like the finale of the movie – or fighting against time to develop a cure from the ravaging virus.

If all this adrenaline-packed action sounds tiring and sapping, then fret not. There is a payoff for everyone at the end of it: the Seoul Retail Street.

The Seoul Retail Street brings the best of Korean cuisine and K-pop culture as a reward for all those that have survived the horror of the Train To Busan.

The Train To Busan Horror House experience departs for adventure at the Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park from 31 October 2019. The Horror House will be open from Friday to Sunday between 1 November to 1 December 2019, and daily from 2 December 2019 to 1 January 2020. Tickets are priced at RM90 for regular admission (RM80 for Genting Rewards Club members). A Train To Busan Horror House single admission plus Skytropolis Preview Pass combo package is available at RM128, and guests looking at skip the queue can opt for an additional Express Pass at RM30.
