Bit Bit in The House

Meet my second daughter, dear readers…

Her name is Bit Bit. My husband named her ‘Bit Bit’ because according to him, she looks abit like a rabbit with her white fur and pink nose. I met her for the first time today, 27th July 2012 in the basement carpark of my apartment.

I DID NOT intend to adopt her, I assure you. She adopted me! The evil thing followed me and my family and refuse to stay put, and fearing the poor little thing will be hit by a car by accident, I picked Bit Bit up and bring her home since there’s no sign of Mama Cat around.

And now, she’s temporarily using Meow Meow’s cage until she’s fully house trained and toilet trained.

Bit Bit is quite a bossy and sneaky little creature, but my son is quite taken with Bit Bit. Right now, he’s teaching Bit Bit how to shake hands, and insist on giving his blanket to Bit Bit, and she’s loving all the attention he’s giving her.

Meow Meow wasn’t very pleased, of course. She’s a little upset and jealous that we have another kitty to dote on, but she’s doing pretty well with Bit Bit’s presense. Apart from hissing at Bit Bit when Bit Bit gets too noisy, Meow Meow avoided going near to Bit Bit. πŸ˜€

Cleffairy: I really do hope my two girls can get along well with each other, for I love both of them equally. πŸ˜€

Free- spirited like a horse…

My friend asked me last week how much it cost me when I go for horseback riding in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, KL. She assumed that I’m one hell of a spoiled rich girl as only the rich could afford having horseback riding as a hobby.

But she’s wrong. Horseback riding is affordable. Even your regular Starbucks Fruppocino cost more than a couple of rounds of horseback riding.

Here’s the proof of how affordable it is…

For those who doesn’t understand the Malaysian language, here’s the pricing:

Horseback riding

Children: RM1.00 per round

Adult: RM1.50 per round

Carriage rides

Children: RM 0.50 per round

Adult: RM 1.00 per round

Business hours:

Sat, Sun and Public Holidays

Morning session: 9am-12pm

Evening session: 3pm-6pm

School semester break

Morning session: 9am-12pm

Evening session: 3pm-6pm

And below is the pictures of the horseback riding facility

The entrance to the horseback riding facility in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa (Lake Garden)

The stable housing the horses, ponies and mares.

The wide range for riding purposes. God, I love this range, cuz I can ride like the wind over here. It really liberates me when I ride my favourite horse over here in Taman Tsik Titiwangsa.

I used to go for horseback riding every week a couple of years ago. But now, I only go for it every fortnight. I still can’t get enough it it, though.

Why don’t you folks try horseback riding instead of the boring old movies in the cinema for a change? It’ll be a great experience, I promise you.

Cleffairy: Don’t worry, if you’re a first timer or a beginner, there’s a trainer to walk the horse with you.

What’s this? New toys?

Guest post by: Meow Meow

Hey… what’s this? Are these my new toys? Mummy brought this home last nite after attending MAS Traveler blogger party and put them on the table, but she seems to be abit clueless about this stuff. She said she don’t know what these are called.

Do you know what these are called? I don’t know what it’s called, but it looks very, very interesting. They can make funny sounds when it’s shaken or touched. Mummy said they’re some sort of traditional musical instruments, but it looks pretty much like toys to me! πŸ˜€

Hoyeahhhhh! I got myself some new toys to play with. Meeowwwwwww! πŸ˜€

Meow Meow: Tsk tsk tsk…it is a wonder that mummy have yet to bring back a bomb from outside. She seems to have a knack for simply picking up strange stuff from outside!

Looking for a home

A Facebook friend of mine is helping her friend to find a good home for some cats/kittens, and I thought I’d help out abit by spreading the words.

You see, this little fella and his litter mates… they need a new home badly. Their owner is giving them away because she can no longer afford to take care of them. I hope they can find a good home, because as much as I love cats, I cannot accommodate another one at home. There’s simply too much responsibility for me. Meow Meow is more than enough for me to handle in terms of money and stuff. (It doesn’t help that I like to bring Meow Meow to travel with me either. I can’t imagine bringing TWO cats traveling with me or sending them to boarding!)

Unlike Meow Meow who was a stray when she was born, this one is not. This little one was born and bred at home. It’s medium-long haired cat. His mother is dilute Calico, a real beauty. Poor little things, the owner said it’s getting out of her hands in terms of finance, so she’s hoping to give away some of her cats to cats lovers who will treat them well and give them a good home.

They are about 4 months. Every one of em are very friendly and playful, and they look just like this one above.

If you or your friends wants to give some of those poor little things a loving family and a good home, please do not hesitate to contact  her at:

Klang Valley/ Kuala Lumpur future owners are preferable. Please feel free to spread the words too.

Cleffairy: They are God’s creation too. We should love them. Not abuse them.

Horse Insurance Companies

A friend of mine works in a horse ranch in South Yorkshire, England. He mentioned about www.horse-insurance.co.uk during our most recent conversation regarding the care of domestic pets. He told me that it’s a company that offers insurance policy for horses and mares and many other kind of domestic animals.

After realizing that there is such thing as pet/animal insurance, I browsed around for companies that provides pet insurance policy for my pet cat, Meow Meow. You see, I was wondering if there’s such insurance companies in Malaysia.

I’m not exactly an animal lover. I couldn’t stand slimy reptiles. They spooked me and I avoid them like the deadliest plague on Earth, but I have special feelings for my cat. She is a part of my family, and I want the best for her. I want her to be covered by insurance and whatnot.

Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t find any companies that provides insurance policies for all sort of pets in Malaysia. Most of them are overseas companies. What’s wrong with this country? We have all sort of insurance policy that covers alot of things, but no companies is offering pet insurance?

Other places in the world even have insurance for their racing/work/pet horses. When I was browsing for cat insurance policy for my Meow Meow, I accidentally stumbled upon a couple more of horse insurance companies that offer great insurance policies for horses as well as other kind of domestic pets, but I found that none of the companies in Malaysia are offering such a thing.

There’s no horse insurance companies whatsoever in Malaysia, and I begin to wonder if the horses I’ve been riding every now and then in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa have insurance or not.

This is really disheartening. It makes me feel that Malaysia is not a friendly place for animal and animal lovers alike. It really scares me that we hear about pet abuse and pet.animal neglect in Malaysia more than about people who love their pets like their own children. *sigh* I do hope that this country can be more animal friendly, regardless of what species they are.

Cleffairy: Aren’t they God’s creation too? We should love them, befriend them, protect them, not abuse them!

Where am I?

Eeepppssss!!! Where am I? Eeee…. looks like Mummy’s gonna make me go into the church and confess all my sins… *sobs* I must have been biting her too much for attention when she’s doing her work. *sobs* Now she’s gonna make me go inside there and confess all my dirty little secrets… πŸ™

Sobs… now they’re going to make me admit that I actually stole Mummy’s pair of slippers and hid it under the bed. Now Mummy is going to know how naughty I’ve been and she’s  not going to give me those yummylicious fishes to eat and make me eat dry food for one week. Sobsob!

Meow Meow: I’m very sorry Mummy, I’ll try not to bite you while you’re working again. And I’ll try not to hide your slippers again. SOBS.

Meow Meow Go Travel

Ohhhh! Scary, scary… Mummy haven’t been in her best mood since that awful trip to Skudai. First she got really, really mad with the people who organized Linux Varsity UTM Skudai 2010.

Then she got extremely hot tempered because she felt violated and harassed in Rose Cottage Skudai. She was practically boiling and she looked like volcano waiting to erupt it’s lava for many days. She’s so hot that she sizzled and her mood was mercurial.

That is not good. Papa was really scared… because she was saying something about getting a Rottweiler or a Doberman to guard her everywhere she go or something about suing people til they gone bankrupt.

Mummy keep mentioning that she loathe October… so many bad things usually happens in October, and was mumbling something about killing people slow and bloody in her novel again. Tsk tsk tsk!

Mummy may be small sized and looked like a school girl… but she can be a real hellcat and a skinny Hulk… never, ever offend my mummy… people say… my Mummy is actually a mad, raving lunatic fairy. I don’t know what that means… but Papa said that it’s something about being very angry and muttering a lot of nasty expletives for days and nights!

So to sooth Mummy’s anger, Papa brought us on a little trip, and this time, Papa and Mummy brought me along, saying that our family is going to go for a little adventure… Papa says, bring Mummy and big brother go for backpacking, because Mummy likes to go on adventure and she loves backpacking! You see… my Mummy likes to play Indiana Jones… you know… the one with hat and whip? Mummy have them too… the Fedora hat, that is… she yet to get her hands on a bull-whip, though…

See the picture above? Well that’s me, Meow Meow. I was inside my carrier in the car. I was a really good girl. Unlike many cats… Mummy says I’m really special cuz I love to stick with Papa and Mummy and prefers to travel instead of staying in cat hotels! I didn’t even make noise when we’re traveling. Hehehehe! And I am very smart too… I only do my big and small business in toilets! πŸ˜€

When we go out to sight-seeing, Papa and Mummy will carry me in my special bag… πŸ˜€ It’s called the pet carrier bag. Suitable for cats and toy breed dogs! Actually I prefer to stay in the bag more when we’re traveling, because I can see the view through the ‘windows’ on my bag.

But sometimes,Papa and Mummy would insist that I walk together with them. But I am abit scared when we go travel to strange places…so if Papa and Mummy don’t put a leash on me and make sure I’m safe and always with them… I will hide inside the bag and refuse to come out! πŸ˜€

So… wanna know where we went backpacking to? Stay tune… my Mummy will be back soon, and tell you where we went. She’ll also be sharing tips on how to travel with pets. Stay tune, okay? πŸ˜€

Meow Meow: Meeowwww… meowwww… meeeeeoowww!
