Inkworld Trilogy

Whoever said adults could not indulge the children within them by reading children fantasy books? I do that pretty often, and I learned more from those children books than adult books.

Last weekend, I managed to finish the Inkworld Trilogy (ebook version, though) and I feel completely sated and refreshed. The child in me was ‘well fed’.

The books… are pretty much like The Neverending story… with huge twists, cha cha and samba.

Book 1 – Inkheart
One cruel night, Meggie’s father reads aloud from a book called INKHEART– and an evil ruler escapes the boundaries of fiction and lands in their living room. Suddenly, Meggie is smack in the middle of the kind of adventure she has only read about in books. Meggie must learn to harness the magic that has conjured this nightmare. For only she can change the course of the story that has changed her life forever. This is INKHEART–a timeless tale about books, about imagination, about life. Dare to read it aloud.

Book 2 – Inkspell
Although a year has passed, not a day goes by without Meggie thinking of Inkheart, the book whose characters came to life – and changed her life forever.

But for Dustfinger, the fire-eater brought into being from words, the need to return to the original tale has become desperate. When he finds a crooked storyteller with the magical ability to read him back, Dustfinger leaves behind his young apprentice Farid and plunges into the medieval inkscape once more.

Distraught, Farid goes in search of Meggie, and before long both are caught inside the book, too. There they meet Inkheart’s author, Fenoglio, now living within his own story. But the tale is much changed, and threatening to evolve in ways none of them would have ever imagined. Will Meggie, Farid, and Fenoglio manage to write the wrongs of a charmed world? Or is their story on the brink of a very bad ending?

Book 3 – Inkdeath

The Adderhead–his immortality bound in a book by Meggie’s father, Mo–has ordered his henchmen to plunder the villages. The peasants’ only defense is a band of outlaws led by the Bluejay–Mo’s fictitious double, whose identity he has reluctantly adopted. But the Book of Immortality is unraveling, and the Adderhead again fears the White Women of Death. To bring the renegade Bluejay back to repair the book, the Adderhead kidnaps all the children in the kingdom, dooming them to slavery in his silver mines unless Mo surrends. First Dustfinger, now Mo: Can anyone save this cursed story?

Now… my say:

I would give the trilogy 5 stars as a whole. I wish the final volume had been tightened a little. The plot threads come together well in this fast paced conclusion of an outstanding fantasy series.

Beware, the books will capture you, and brings you into a world full of surprises.

I must admit, I can never guess what will happen with the plot. It’s turning and twisting and full of life. I only have the pdf version of the trilogy, and since it’s a good read, I think I’m gonna buy it. Anyone wants to read this before buying the hardcopy? Email me at cleffairy@gmail.com  or leave a comment here and I’ll send them to you.

The Neverending Story

I was an early reader. I was taught to read pretty early in life, and having a father who was still a student when he had me, made me a very early student too. My father did not have time to be a full time father, but he tried nevertheless, because I was a very clingy child. I followed him to the library more than I could count for his study sessions.

He couldn’t talk to me in the library, but a child’s mind is a simple thing. Every children wants to be close to their parents… that gives them the sense of security, and back then, even when my father couldn’t play with me or talk to me loudly, I still wanted to tag along to the library with him.

I could still remember that I will sit at one of the old, rickety sofa, in which a librarian would kindly provide me a pillow to prop myself with each time I visit, and read some books while waiting for my father to finish his assignments.

I was a child who was easily fascinated. I think every little children are easily fascinated and dreamed of an adventure in a fantasy land where they’re the hero and whatever they do could determine the fate of the world.

There was a book in particular that I could read over and over again during my visit to the library.

It’s called… The Neverending Story. Written by Michael Ende. (Yes… the book was adapted into a movie. I am talking about THAT Neverending Story). In truth, it was a German tale. The original title for The Neverending Story is ‘Die Unendliche Geschichte’. But the book spin a tale that is so great, that it was translated into many languages for the enjoyment of every single little person who crave for escapism and adventure.

The majority of the story takes place in the parallel world of Fantastica a world being destroyed by the Nothing, which represents and constitutes people’s lack of imagination in the real world.

The first protagonist is a young warrior, who is asked by the Steward of The Empress of Fantastica, to set off and find a way to stop The Nothing. The other protagonist is a boy from the real world, a reader of the novel with the same title, for whom the story gradually becomes more and more realistic.

The story starts off with Bastian who is  sorely neglected by his father and is bullied by his schoolmates. While running from some of them, Bastian bursts into the antique book store.

He picked up the book and examined it from all sides. It was bound in copper-colored silk that shimmered when he moved it about. Leafing through the pages, he saw the book was printed in two colors. There seemed to be no pictures, but there were large, beautiful capital letters at the beginning of the chapters. Examining the binding more closely, he discovered two snakes on it, one light and one dark. They were biting each other’s tail, so forming an oval. And inside the oval, in strangely intricate letters, he saw the title:

The Neverending Story

He can’t buy it, and so he steals the book, hides himself away in the attic of his own school, and settles down to read the same story that we are reading: The Neverending Story.

We’re then transported into the realm of Fantastica, where things are going badly wrong. The realm is being swallowed up, slowly but surely, by advancing puddles of nothingness. The diverse inhabitants of Fantastica send out messengers to their Childlike Empress who lives in the Ivory Tower to see if she can help or advise. Alas, she cannot, it seems, because she is also dying from a mysterious illness. She can only be cured if a human will visit Fantastica and endow her with a new name.

The stage is set. The Childlike Empress sends her hero, a boy named Atreyu, out on a mission to search for just such a human. Atreyu’s task is a difficult one. In fact, he must launch himself off on such a wild and demanding and absorbing adventure that he succeeds in drawing the reader, Bastian Balthazar Bux, back into the realm of Fantastica! But Atreyu does succeed, and Bastian is delighted to find himself suddenly transported into Fantastica.

You might think that that is the end of the story, but in fact it is just the beginning. Because, once there, Bastian Balthazar Bux has such a marvelous time that he does not want to leave. And in the end, he finds that he very nearly can’t leave. He needs all the help he can get from his friends in Fantastica.

Absolutely good read. A book that every child should have the privilege to read. i find it hard to obtain a cheap version of this book, and therefore, I opt for a pdf. copy of this book instead.

Now, if you crave for escapism and a book worthy of your attention this coming weekend, kindly email me for a .pdf copy of this book at cleffairy@gmail.com. If you want to hold the book in your hand, however, kindly head over to your nearest book store, and see if they have this precious book on their shelf.

Cleffairy: If you stop to think about it, you’ll have to admit that all the stories in the world consist essentially of twenty-six letters. The letters are always the same, only the arrangement varies. From letters words are formed, from words sentences, from sentences chapters, and from chapters stories.

The Host

The Host is a sci-fi romance. Pretty much like The Time Traveler’s Wife. The Host could be categorized in that genre. For those who had been reading Meyer’s Twilight Saga, you’d find it quite hard to follow The Host if you don’t ditch the romantic vampire mentality. And if you’re a hard core sci-fi fan, you’d probably toss this book to the bin, because it’s not really concentrated on the ‘science’ part, but on humanity and the human emotions experienced by an alien invader instead. *sigh*

So, here’s the story…

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed.

Wanderer, the invading “soul” who has been given Melanie’s body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn’t expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Melanie fills Wanderer’s thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves – Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body’s desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she’s never met.  As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love.

How does that sound to you? Well… from a reader an author’s point of view… I tell you that this is a romantic fluff! Okay, since this is a cross between sci-fi and romance, it is only fair that I compare the book with another sci-fi romance. A favourite of mine. The Time traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. While The Time Traveler’s Wife is completely touching, drawing me into the small circle of the characters ‘Henry’ and ‘Clare’ where they both had to deal with impossible love caused by Henry’s Chrono Displacement illness.

The Host did nothing like that. In fact, I’m a little bit dissapointed, and it doesn’t help that the book is written in first party point of view.

The Host should be a good read only if you’re a fan of romantic fluff. Otherwise, I suggest you to leave it alone. It’s not for sci-fi hardcores who expects thrilling actions and adventures.

Anyway, for those who would like to browse through this book before you buy it, can email me at cleffairy@gmail.com for a pdf. copy of the book.

They’re Not Your Friends

I have a really weird taste in almost everything. Be it clothing, food or even books. What people regard as not valuable, I consider it a treasure. I went to BookXcess Anniversary sale last month, and as I was digging away in the bargain bin of books that says going for RM1, Rm2 and RM3, I saw this book, ‘They’re Not Your Friends’ by Irene Zutell. It costs me RM3. Very cheap, for a good read.

Catchy cover, and it screams childishness. Absolutely female, vibrant and cheerful with the splashy pink.

But what made me buy this book is not the exuberance of the book cover, but the synopsis on the back of the book. This story is about a reporter. An entertainment reporter, and it made me think of myself before I left the newsroom and go freelancing in the field of reporting.

While I was specialized in investigative journalism, where my work revolves around digging for hard news, the character of this story, Charlotte ‘Lottie’ Love is the direct opposite of me in the industry. She’s an entertainment reporter, and therefore, nothing about her work revolves around nosing for crimes and high profile corruptions among politicians. Hers is pure soft news…with sex scandal and gossip thrown into her notepads.

Charlotte “Lottie” Love has a thing for celebrity. Actually, it’s more of an obsession. All her life she’s lurked in the shadows of Hollywood, desperate to step into the light. When she lands a job at Personality magazine, her dreams of red-carpet strolls, popping flashbulbs, and the attention of white-hot heartthrobs finally start to come true. Even Hollywood’s latest “It” boy falls for her, and everyone wants his story.

Can Lottie score the scoop? Ask Lem Brac, a British boozehound in the twilight of a mediocre career who knows an exclusive with the It boy would save his job. Lem looks for help from his new (and only) friendMike Posner, a young hotshot reporter just hired away from a New York tabloid.

But Mike has some damaging secrets himself that are about to surface. He needs the interview too, and it’s anyone’s guess how far he’ll go to get it. Welcome to the world of entertainment journalism and star worship, where you’re only as good as the gossip you dig up.

Good read? I suppose it is a good read. Some may find it boring to look into a life of a reporter, be it an investigative reporter who writes hard news or entertainment reporter who expose every little dirty underwear that you have in your closets, but I think the book reflects the politics of journalism industry. Thumbs up for “They’re Not Your Friends”.

Cleffairy: Here’s a message to those people who truly care for me and spare me in their thoughts. You are not my friends. But you’re more like a family to me. Not even family came close to loving me unconditionally without judging. Thank you for not just being my friends. You’re more than that.

Time traveling made possible…

Let it not be said that I only choose mindless erotic fictions as well as happily ever after books to read. I like science fiction too. However, I am extremely selective when it comes to reading and reviewing science fiction books. Why? Because first of all, I read books to understand certain author’s mind as well as the ideas they are trying to get across. Science fiction are different from romance genre. They had to be logical, and possible… and if necessary, they had to be based on science facts as well. Even if they are not loosely based on facts, i like to read science fictions that’s based on theories.

So…if you’re going to ask me if I read science fiction. The answer is a huge yes. And what subject in science fiction that I prefer to read? TIME TRAVELING and FUTURISTIC FICTIONS.

And who would be my favourite? Herbert George Wells. Unfamiliar with the name? Well… try H.G. Wells. The man was well noted for his science fiction novel, The Time Machine, The Island of Doctor Moreau, The Invisible Man, The War of the Worlds, When the Sleeper Wakes, and The First Men in the Moon.

I adored H.G. Wells writing. First of all, he’s 100% British. I like men who write purely in British-English. Their language is well-accentuated, gentlemanly and pure pleasure to read.

My personal favourite from H.G Wells have to be The Time Machine.

The Time Machine is about an English scientist and gentleman inventor, identified by a narrator simply as the Time Traveller. The narrator recounts the Traveller’s lecture to his weekly dinner guests that time is simply a fourth dimension, and his demonstration of a tabletop model machine for travelling through it.

He reveals that he has built a machine capable of carrying a person, and returns at dinner the following week to recount a remarkable tale and he became the new narrator:

The Time Traveller tests his device with a journey that takes him to the year A.D. 802,701, where he meets the Eloi, a society of small, elegant, androgynous, and childlike people.

They live in small communities within large and futuristic yet slowly deteriorating buildings, doing no work and having a detestable diet. His efforts to communicate with them are hampered by their lack of curiosity, and he concludes that they are a peaceful society, the result of humanity conquering nature with technology, and subsequently evolving to adapt to an environment in which strength and intellect are no longer advantageous to survival.

Returning to the site where he arrived, the Time Traveler finds his time machine missing, and eventually works out that it has been dragged by some unknown party into a nearby structure with heavy doors, locked from the inside.

I won’t write you what happens next in The Time Machine from that point forward. That would be telling, won’t it? You are going to prove that you… are still intellectually curious people that is not undermined and pampered by technology by actually reading the book yourself… if you haven’t, that is. Assuming that The Time Machine by H.G. Wells is a classic… most of you should have read about it.

Initially… the machine that could bring you back and forth in time; time machine is loosely illustrated like the picture below:

Most of you might have laugh at the idea of time traveling, however, I am fascinated by the whole idea and theory.

You will claim it as a fiction. However…since the end of 1980s, physicists have known that there is nothing within their scientific theories that forbids time travel. According to them, whatever that is not impossible, must be possible. And whatever that is not forbidden, must be compulsory.

It is known that what could actually make time travel possible involves the three greatest ideas in physics: general relativity theory, quantum physics and quantum mechanics.

Basically, what allows the possibility of time traveling is that light travels in one straight line, and with the correct mathematics and machine, we could travel through ‘bended’ line, and that, my dears readers… would allow us to arrive at different point of time.

Time Traveling theory is not that complicated if you actually understand the laws of physics… I had no interested in physics and it’s theory when I was in high school because my teachers made it so boring and utter rubbish of calculations that i need to solve. But as I grew up, I see things in different lights and began to take interest in those theories…momentum, inertia, gravity as well as the law of motion. I even expressed my views on it and how it relates to my daily lives in my old blog in which, I can express myself more freely.

By the way, to understand how time traveling could be made possible, one need to understand a lot of theorems, and so, when I saw the book entitled Time Travel for Beginners by Mary &John Gribbin BookXcess sale earlier this month. I snatched it up as fast as I could. It costs me only RM 3. Such a sad thing for me to see… such a remarkable book was tossed in the bargain bin, and went unnoticed by many and there was a dozen of them, no less.

Time Travel for Beginners is a treasure for me, as explains many theories on how time traveling could be made possible in simple manner. Highly recommended to those who loves to read science fiction with time traveling as the subject, and yet have no head or tails of the concept. Perfect guide, I must say. But of course… one man’s meat is another man’s treasure. And in my case, both Time Travel for Beginners as well as The Time Machine by H.G.Wells is a treasure.

Cleffairy: So… are you calling me crazy and stupid right now? Well… people used to say traveling by air and to space is not possible back then. But look at how it turns out now? People are sending spaceships for space exploration and a lot of people are traveling by aeroplane from one place to another and reached their destination without failed most of the time. So I guess…it’s just a matter of time that the first functional time machine would appear.

ps: This is why I don’t write reviews for sci-fi books. By the time I write this sentence, the rest of you would have hop away and read some food blog or some gossip blogs… and this article, would be sorely neglected…cuz people do not like to actually think…it strain their brain, I guess. I, on the other hand…am afraid of senility, and therefore, I prefer to practice my brain to make sure that they work well all the time.

Evil reads…

All right, sometimes, too much of sweet things can be sickening, won’t you agree with me? I mean, if you take too much sweet things, you’d feel queasy and you have a very high chance that you’ll be diabetic too if you take too much sweet things for long term.

So, to balance out, you need to watch what you eat, and… read. LOL. I read too much sweet romantic things sometimes that I get really immune to those passionate scenes and whatnot. Some romance book make me fall asleep. Some chic-lit really bore me.

Anyway, enough ramblings. Not long ago, Mamarazzi lend me some books… they’re all evil reads. Thrilling, and humourous… the kind of book that can make you laugh when you read them… cuz they’re just pure evil.

These days… if there’s long holidays, I try to catch up with my readings, and so… here’s some reviews for evil books.

Divorced and Deadly by Josephine Cox

As far as I’m concern, Josephine Cox is well known for her romance novels, but I guess she’s trying to look at things in different light through Divorced and Deadly. I’m glad she did. 😀 This book brought so much laughter and joy… well, at least to me. This story… uh… tells us how obnoxious and clueless men can be, and how shrew and vengeful women can be. *faint*

This book is told in diary form of Ben, newly divorced with Laura. The man can’t seems to get it why Laura is so pissed when he was caught having sex with some unknown women on their bed when she’s not around. He can’t seems to understand that, not when earlier on in their marriage, Laura forgave him for sleeping with her best friend. (Laura punched her best friend and gave her best friend a black eye for sleeping around with her husband). He really don’t understand it. Why his ex wife can forgive him for sleeping around with her best friend and yet divorced him because he had some uh…fun with some common whore he picked up at the pub.

Thinking that he could survived without her (which he can’t) he ended jobless, and moved in with his parents, and all rotten antics ensues…. cuz his ex-wife, being a female ruled by her hormones, will simply not let him off the hook. Even though she’s done with him, she just want him to have a miserable life for all the things that he did to wrong her. She doesn’t want him anymore, and yet, she doesn’t want anyone to have him either. (GO LAURA, YOU ROCK I SUPPORT YOU!)

Truthfully, this is a really funny read, despite of the horrendous title. There’s a moral in this story, though: Some men… will take things for granted. Forgive them for the first time, and they’ll wrong you again. And therefore, keep it in mind that some men cannot be forgiven, cuz they’ll keep do the same thing over, and over again! And men… cannot be trusted 100%. And if a man wants a moral from the story… well, let’s just say, don’t ever offend your wife. You’ll never know what she’ll do to you. (Hey, I’m a woman, ruled by my hormone, of course I think like this!)

Okay, after spending 2 hours reading Divorced and Deadly… it’s time to read Revenge is Sweet by Claire Gillman. The cover where the scissors cutting the tie says it all. Another hilarious read that will guarantee you to roll on the floor laughing for hours.

Revenge is Sweet is a packed with tales of remarkable lengths people have gone in order to wreak their revenge. Sometimes on pure impulse, sometimes deliberated after years of resentment…and many more.

Let me quote something from the book:

1. Wedding Anniversary Sex

A husband and his wife had a bitter qurrel on their 40th Anniversary day. The husband yelled ” When you die, I’m going to get a headstone that reads ‘Here Lies My Wife-Cold As Ever’ ”

“Yeah” she replied. “When you died, I’m going to get a headstone that reads: ‘Here Lies My Husband-Stiff At Last”

2. Bedside Vigil

Jake was dying. His wife, Becky, was maintaining a candle-light vigil by his side. She held his fragile hand, tears running down her face. Her praying roused him from his slumber; he looked up and his pale lips began to move slightly.

“Becky, my darling,” he whispered.

“Hush, my love, rest, don’t talk.” she said.

He was insistent. “Becky, I have something that I must confess.”

“There’s nothing to confess. Everything is all right, go to sleep.” she said.

“No, no. I must die in peace, Becky. I… i slept with your sister, your best friend, her best friend, and your mother!”

“I know sweetheart.” whispered Becky.

“Let the poison work.” she added.

Revenge is Sweet is a lovely, hilarious read. A good guide for revenge too. 😀 Wanna get back at your boss without getting caught? Wanna get back at your husband for cheating on you? Wanna get back at your wife for two-timing you? This is the book to read!

Okay… I know I’ve been really naughty… so to balance out… I try to be a bit sweet at the end… you know, picking up a good poem book…but… I can’t resist reading this one:

The author of You Die;I Die must have a very twisted sense of humour. Despite of the terrible title that suggested murder, this book contains poems symbolizing the immortality of love and at times its fickleness. Moral of the story? Never ever judge a book by it’s cover. LOL.

Nottie, romantic, delicious read…

It’s a long weekend, and so, I spend my time chilling with some ice pop in my mouth while reading some good books. (What? The weather is hot, duh!) I got tired of serious books and biographies, so I decided to pick up something a little bit nottie read.

Irresistable Forces by Brenda Jackson

One week of mind-blowing sex on a beautiful Caribbean island. Of all the business proposals financial tycoon Dominic Saxon has heard, Taylor Steele’s is definitely the most tempting. All Taylor wants in return is for Dominic to father her baby. No strings, no commitments…just a mutually satisfying arrangement. Make that very satisfying. For a man with no intention of marrying again, it sounds ideal.

Taylor wants a baby, not a relationship. And sexy, intelligent Dominic seems like a man with perfect genes. Turns out, Dominic has perfect everything. Their “procreation vacation” is a whirlwind of sensual ecstasy. But when it’s over, will either of them be able to say goodbye?

Good book? Oh well, it’s a standard happily ever after romance. 2 hour read kinda book. Anybody wants this? Email me… cleffairy@gmail.com. I’ll send it over.

Cleffairy: When things get depressing, a dose of fictional happily ever after is just the thing I need.

Brida by Paulo Coelho review

“Sweetie, I know you like a book. When things get rough, you’d bury yourself with your work or books, as if they’re going to save you.”

Somebody told me that before, but I couldn’t seems to recall who told me that. I just remember that he is a man. Probably my grandfather…or my father… or maybe one of my uncles-worst, he could have been Perry White from The New Adventures of Superman.

I thought the one who told me this was wrong, but apparently, the person who quoted this knew me more than I knew myself. I didn’t want to admit it to myself, but the man was right. When things gets a little rough in my life, I try to bury myself with work… because that sort of stress and tension, is much more manageable. It’s just like sadness and anger. I find it easier to be angry than sad, because I can handle being angry, but I can’t really handle being sad or depressed.

Anyway, things are a little bit rough in my life at the moment…you know… considering it’s long holiday and there’s a lot of family occasion is going on. I fell into that workaholic pattern unfailingly, and I get really jittery when I have nothing to do to distract myself with.

Today is a very slow Saturday. Time seems to crawl. And worst… I found myself with nothing to do but wallow! (Cuz my characters refused to talk to me and if they are, they’re trying to make me their personal slave… forget I said that, I’m crazy, I know).

Then I browsed for something to read, and much to my pleasure, I found ‘Brida by Paulo Coelho’. Gosh… I’ve been searching high and low for this book. So I downloaded the book and read it quickly.

This is my first time reading Paulo Coelho’s book. He’ came highly recommended by Smallkucing’s Mamarazzi and Manglish, and so… I thought I’d try reading something light from him.

Brida… as I know… is nothing like his other books. Brida is a light and easy read. It’s a very intriguing love story.

Brida tells the story of young girl who is seemingly naïve, but she is neither naïve nor lacking in intellect, since she has had a few incarnations, in which she knew a lot about being a witch. Brida is a beautiful, ambitious, and successful person, and she has a very supportive boyfriend, Lorenz. The story takes place in Ireland during 1983 and 1984.

The story opens with Brida telling Magus that she wants to learn magic. What Brida doesn’t know at that moment is that she is Magus’s soul mate. This she will find out toward the end of the book together with who she is and what the deeper meaning in her life is, by getting transported to a parallel universe and through other supernatural experiences.

Who will Brida end up with? With a man who is not her soul mate, or with her soul mate? I’m not going to spoil the story for you, but this is a story about the conflict within all of us to be with someone whom we have known since long, or to be with someone whom we have known for a lesser time but who touches our heart more or to just leave everything and submit ourselves to a solitary life.

Very good read. My kind of story. Anyone out there want a a pdf copy of this book to browse through before buying? Well, email me at cleffairy@gmail.com or leave a comment here and I’ll email it to you.

Brida is available at major bookstores and online bookstores, if you’re wondering where to get Brida by Paulo Coelho.

You Changed My Life

How many people out there changed your life forever, and make you a better person by making you see things in different perspective and yet you have no idea on how to thank them?

Well, You Changed My Life by Max Lucado is a perfect gift for those who changed your life and yet they don’t know it.

This book spin remarkable tales of people who changed the life of others and inspire them to be a better person. They’re unsung heroes. They may be insignificant to the rest of the world, but they mean something to somebody.

They may be not Superman, Batman or even Ironman, but they save lives regardless. They are heroes in their own rights.

The moral of the story in this book is that each and everyone of us have our own purpose in life, and we co-exist with each other to support one another and live in harmony.

This book is a great gift book. I would recommend this to everyone who wants to show their appreciation to people whose existence means a lot to them. Perfect for spreading joy and happiness.

I rate this book, 4 stars out of 5.

I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers for an advance reading as part of their Booksneeze bloggers program . I was not required to write a positive review and therefore, the book review is 100% my own opinion.

I’m a sucker for freebies. Tsk tsk tsk. And things became much more horrendous when it comes to free books.

It is quite a common knowledge that I blogged/ review for Booksneeze where the publisher provide free books in exchange of an honest reviews. So far I’ve reviewed 9 books from Booksneeze, and anticipating for more books to arrive for me to review.

Anyway, while I was browsing around, I found one more publisher giving away free books in exchange of an honest review: TYNDALE MEDIA CENTER

Do check them out if you’re interested in getting free books in exchange of your honest review on your blog or your websites.
