If there is something that I discovered about myself this year is that I enjoy outdoor activities and getting close to nature immensely. Who would have guessed that? If you told me two years ago that I’d be going into caves for rock climbing or venture deep into the jungle to jungle trek or even go for some water rafting, I’d probably gape at you as if you  have lost your mind, but that is what I’ve been up to throughout 2015, doing challenging stuff and challenging myself to go beyond my limits.

It is now December 2015 as of writing. New year will arrive pretty soon. I’m not planning to stop what I’ve been doing anytime soon but there are times I feel the need to look my best, even at the most secluded places; eg some hidden waterfall or in the jungle.

Spotted this Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream selling at a promo price in Watson, I decided to make a grab at it and make full use of it to keep my skin moisturized, even during at the most extreme environment.

Someone told me quite some time ago that traveling is like a book. Those who doesn’t travel, read just one page. I don’t want to be like a frog in the well, and so I started traveling with my family once my son reached a manageable age.

I like to travel to places that people don’t usually go to. It gives me such a great insight and perspective on things and life in general.

But traveling to less mainstream destinations like a trip to the jungle or some secluded river for a swimming session have a drawback in terms of comfort. Indulging in vanity is usually a luxury and as a consequences to traveling to strange places, I’ve developed skin sensivity and lack tolerance towards skincare products that I usually used. My skin is now easily dry and flaky, and I need skincare items that is really gentle on my skin, especially my face area if I were to cleanse it.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been suffering from skin discomfort until my friend took pity on me and introduced me to some a range of skincare product on the net known as Cetaphil. I’ll be honest with you, I’m not really familiar with this brand, but I decided to give it a shot as I’m already terribly desperate and I’ve read so much good reviews about it. I thought, well, I got nothing to lose. After all, the skin is already in a bad condition. What’s the worst could happened anyway?

Ceraphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. This skincare product claimed to be gentle on your skin and is suitable for all skin type. My screwed logic is; it’s probably suitable for my dry, flaky and damaged skin.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is suitable for everyday and frequent use and is recommended by paediatrician and dematologists for those with sensitive skin.

I usually will use the cleanser when I woke up in the morning, before I sleep at night or when I’m all grimy after some nasty jungle trekking or after a swim in some unknown river.

What’s good about this product is that you don’t need to squirt a huge amount to cleanse whichever part of your body with. Just a little will do. 😉 Pretty economic, I must say.

The verdict? After about 14 days of using the cleanser religiously, my skin condition improved, and it is no longer than painful or itchy after bathing or swimming. It also doesn’t give me terrible rashes like the product that I used to use. My skin is also much more moisturized than before.

I guess, the cleanser is not only gentle on my skin but it restored my skin’s youthful radiance by providing moisturization and hydration as well and making me feel and look younger than my age.

I would recommend this for those who have skin issues. There is plenty of pharmacies that is selling Cetaphil products, but I also found out that there is a new Sensitive Skin Bay at Watsons in Pavilion KL where I get get all my favourite sensitive skin skincare producers. It is really cool cause now I can easily identify what I need without going through the whole store!

Let me get this straight. I’m not the kind of person who likes to take supplememts.

So when these two boxes of items arrived at my doorstep, I was a little skeptical trying detox supplements cuz most supplement taste nasty, but since I don’t exactly have a healthy lifestyle and I could practically feel the toxin build up in my body after all the food binge I’ve been having, I tried it regardless.

If you told me that I’d be modeling, catwalking or even deejaying a few years back, I’d laugh in your face and tell you that it won’t happen in a million years. But let’s say that my life somehow made a 360′ turn and I ended up doing all the three and I’m no longer the person you know 2-3 years back. Funny how life turns out, eh?

Anyway, my teacher cum personal image consultant, a catwalk coach and designer Kos Serani told me something during one of our catwalk and grooming class. We were discussing on how one should dress up if my memories serves me right. He told me that less is more and never wear clothing that shows your cleavage and legs at the same time. To look attractive and classy, always go for clothes that reveals legs only or cleavage only and not both. A sensible advice, as to reveal both legs and cleavage at the same time does make you look like quite a tart.

The advice is forever etched in my mind, and from then on, I only choose clothing that is either modest and cover up, or dresses that only show off my legs. Why do I opt for legs? Well, apparently that’s because I’m very petite and there’s no change of me showing my cleavage and looking attractive. I’m afraid if I were to opt to show my cleavage, I’d be called a cute schoolgirl instead of a beautiful woman. So yes, legs it is.

Problems? Well, yes. I’m not exactly blessed with completely hairless leg and I need to shave or wax whenever those tiny hairs started to grow.

My legs has always been sensitive and I think my therapist did fairly a good job in waxing me without getting me to scream like a banshee. Observing my therapist, I must say that she did practice all of the personal hygiene code set by Strip, and I’m happy to report that I’m very satisfied with the service and will definitely make revisits soon.
