I’m blessed with big eyes, but there are times that I need to go for the dramatic and intense look by using makeup for events or gala dinners etc.

Dove Go Play With Your Hair Challenge

Do you like to play? Let me tell you a secret. I may sound feisty in my blog posts and Facebook status, but the truth is that I’m a very cheeky and playful person. I’ll be honest with you.I am a pleasure loving kinda girl and I love playing with myself. Oh uh. That sounds so wrong. :p No pun intended though. What I meant to say is that these days, I absolutely love to play dress up and make myself look good. Looking good makes me feel confident and happy with myself.

I like what I’m seeing in the mirror these days, but that does not mean that I’ll just stop there. I’m my worst critique and I’m constantly on a lookout to improve myself and be a better version of myself everyday. So when Dove invited me to the launching of their ‘Play with Your Hair’ campaign, I was absolutely ecstatic. 😉

I love playing with my hair. Dyeing it up, styling it up…you name it. But more often than not, I find my hair easily damaged and brittle 🙁 Yea. Vanity is costly. A couple of months back, I even have to chop off my long tresses as my hair was irreversibly salon-fried after some perming session goes awry. I have been looking for products that could help repair the damage, but sadly none suits me well enough.

But having seen the gig during Dove Play with Your Hair Campaign, I have to say that I’m quite impressed. These ladies had quite an extreme makeover with their hair and yet with Dove Intense Repair, their hair remains healthy.

Demonstration were done to show us how effective Dove Intense Repair range is too. To be honest, I was really skeptical at first. But they gave us a makeover treat during the event and having my hair washed with Dove Intense Repair range of product, blow and styled, all my doubts went away as my hair remains healthy afterwards despite of the harsh styling.

Knowing our womanly nature where we would love to look as if we have just walked out of hair salon daily, we were taught how to play with our hair too that day. We were taught the art if combing our hair…

Apart from that, we were also encouraged to unleash our creativities and make some hair accessories for ourselves.

Remember I shared how to tie a shawl/scarf in 25 ways not long ago? Well…I’m really nuts about em. To me, shawl/scarves are a must have accessory to go with my wardrobe. I may not style it into a hijab on daily basis, but I do style it that way occasionally. More often than not, during Muslim related events like a nikah ceremony in a mosque or a feast in mosque area where one is required to cover up their aurah with decent clothes.

I don’t wear hijab but I have a shawll/ scarves collections that can rival those who donned hijab daily. Beautiful shawls and scarves is my vice. They are my weakness. My favourite accessory. Apart from my sunblock and liptint, I almost never leave home without a shawl.

Shawl/scarves may be just a simple piece of cloth to many, but to me, it makes a splendid accessory that makes you stand out in the crowd, even though your outfit is extremely plain. Trust me on that.

So…I couldn’t resist the offer from Justeyewear. Sigh…I know…I know, I’m turning into a shopaholic….but who could resist discounts when it is more than 50% off for branded stuff? I’m not sure about you…but I can never resist a good deal…and therefore, I ordered this from Justeyewear’s website.

Rivboz Sports sunglasses. The sunglass is unisex and it comes with 5 interchangeable lenses, a pouch, wiping cloth and a chic carrying case. It only takes 24 hours for the sunglass to arrive at my doorstep, so I’m pleased to say that I’m satisfied with Justeyewear’s service efficiency. Highly recommended if you want to buy something and get it quick.

The Rivboz sunglass is tough although at first glance it looks rather fragile. Changing the lenses can be abit tricky, but it’s nothing I can’t handle.So thumbs up for the quality. I’m more of woman sunglass kind of girl, so I guess my husband will be using this for driving more than I do. 🙂

Oral hygiene is very important for me. As an active lifestyle blogger who attends events quiet frequently, I need to interact and socialize with people quite a lot. Flashy smile with pearly whites is my cosmetic. 🙂 Apart from that, I’m a kisser.

I love giving friendly pecks and not to mention, I love kissing. Although…the intimate kissing part is only given exclusively to my husband. 😉

So yes. Oral hygiene is important for me, so that I can smile more, and kiss more. Problem is? I have sensitive gums that bleeds easily and my teeth are quite crooked. I fear pain…so braces is definitely out of question and to clean my teeth properly, I need to choose a toothbrush that’s suitable for me.

Beautiful and Elegant With Neng Geulis

Whenever I looked at myself in the mirror these days makes me feel that a lot of clothes and dress does not flatter me. I always look like an anorexic whenever I put on a dress. But one fine day, I put on a traditional nyonya kebaya that I inherited from my late grandmother and went for my husband’s colleague’s wedding, and I realized that I actually look good in traditional clothing. They flatters me and hides my flaws and makes me look not only chic and elegant, but stunningly beautiful too.

I suppose, the controversial Felixia Yeap (formerly a very sexy model and a Playboy bunny) more or less feels the same way too when she decided to be the first non-Muslim in Malaysia to wear clothing that covers her aurah full time. Truth be told, I feel quite inspired by her, and although I don’t don hijab the way she does, I do find that such way of dressing up makes a woman looks much more respectable. Many bashed Ms. Yeap for donning hijab, but seriously speaking, I respect her for that, as it is not easy for one to cover up her aurah, what more when we live in a country where most have this mindset where hijabs are supposed to be exclusively for Muslims. To me… whether you are a Muslim or not, it doesn’t matter. If wearing clothing that covers up your body makes you feel comfortable, then you should just go for it. In truth, it’s much better than wearing scantily clad clothing. There is nothing wrong in wearing like a Muslim. It does not make you less human and having chatted with Ms. Yeap herself the other day when I visited Neng Geulis booth during Busainna Sale at Menara TM, I realized that wearing hijab does not make you a backward person. So, what was I doing at a Muslimah clothing sale? What was I looking for? Well, I’m a huge fan of shawl. As of writing, I have plenty of shawls in my wardrobe, and I thought that perhaps I could loot something from the sale. 😛 Not sure if my husband approves my spending, but then again, he never complains whenever I buy some shawls to accessorize with my clothing despite the fact that he knew that I have tonnes of them in my wardrobe. So yeah… I take that as a sign of unconditional support and approval. 😛

I had my eyes on this piece the other day when I was browsing at Neng Geulis booth. Very beautiful, don’t you think? Ugh, I wish I can have this one! The lace is delicately beautiful!

And this pink blouse too, but unfortunately for me, the beautiful clothings would have to wait as I’ve splurged quite an amount of money on shawls and traditional clothings earlier on. 🙁 So these… these will just have to wait. 🙁
