So yea, I’m a certified nut. Are you? If you got nothing better to do too on this new year’s eve, you might wanna give this a shot and see if you’re a nut too.

Cleffairy: Contemplating on whether to write my 2012 in review or not. Seems to me that there are more things worth being buried in it’s grave rather than mentioning this year. 🙁

Punctuation is powerful

I’m not sure if you remembered it or not, but I’ve blogged and lament about how these days they don’t teach punctuation in school anymore. Well… punctuation is powerful. In my previous post on grammar and punctuation, grandma could have been a goner without a comma. 😀 (READ HERE)

Here’s another grammatical funnies I’d like to share with you.

Note how powerful punctuation are. Talk about bringing a sentence to a different level. 😀

Cleffairy: Use punctuation, kids!

12.12.12

12.12.12. It’s a lovely date, isn’t it? A lot of people hail this date as special. Some decided to propose to their intended while plenty  others choose to mark the date by tying a knot or giving birth.

I wish I can say that 12.12.12 is my big day where I finally marry the man that I love and celebrates it with my loved ones. But I can’t. I am not fortunate enough for that and the date held no significant to me.

My husband was busy with his work, my son have holiday class to attend while I have some pending write ups to do. 12.12.12 was just another day for us to pass. It sounds pathetic, no? I thought I sound pathetic cuz I’m all routine and mundane while everyone else is doing something special on this date.

Melancoly plagued me a little bit. It’s been awhile since I let my hair down a lil bit and so, I decided not to go back home after picking up my son from his class. Instead of going straight home after lunch, I drag my son to the nearest shopping mall to hang out with me. We window shop for hours while enjoying the Chrismassy atmosphere at the mall. It is very thereupeutic, I must say. The boy used to make a fuss back then when he window shop with me, but this time around he did not. I suppose he’s relieved to get out and chill out too?

Frankly speaking, I was quite surprised that the boy did not insist me on buying him stuff or whined for some snacks. I knew that he was quite tired and hungry, but instead of complaining like he used to do, he just tailed me around. Amazing milestone, I must say. Made me wonder what I’ve done right? Or rather, what I have done wrong as it seems to me that he’s too accomodating. He must be really bored at home to the point that he did not mind tailing me around and walk with me for hours.

Anyway, I decided that my son is a good companion and make quite a wonderful date. So I decided to treat both of us with a movie in the cinema, and dinner after it’s over.

Since my husband is working and was not home, I wasn’t really in a rush to go back to an empty home. We stayed in the mall til it’s closed and we were only ready to call it a day after supper at 11pm.

12.12.12 was nothing special to me and I had nothing pre-planned, but hell, I had so much fun with my son. I wonder if he’ll remember this when he grows up and cherish our memories together? I certainly do hope so. 😀

Cleffairy: Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but it’s all about dancing in the rain and enjoying the precious moments.

Me, My Boy and Naan Pizza

image

So, the boy was kinda upset about something last night, and he was making quite a fuss. He refused to sleep and he wanted supper. Outside. I couldn’t exactly stand his fuss. All I want is just for him quiet down. But then again, I wasn’t exactly in the mood to slack around in the regular restaurant that we both usually patronize last night. It was raining and I would very much prefer to just stay home and snuggle with my cat and a good book.

The boy was still fussing after a while, and so, I decided to compromise. He wants a hearty supper. I want peace. So we went out to take- away a piece of naan after the rain stops. When I came home, I decided that the naan is too plain and hell, we both deserves a little indulging, so why not spice up things a little bit? Nobody is there to stop us anyway.

I sprinkled the naan that I bought with cheese and sliced hot dogs. After stuffing the thing into the oven for a while, we got ourselves a very decent homemade pizza.

The boy finally feels happy again and I got the peace that I wanted at the end of the night. 😀 Who says you need to spend a lot of money to indulge and enjoy life? I certainly think that we don’t need to spend so much money to indulge in food. All we need to do is just be creative and enjoy life in small ways that we can. 😀

Cleffairy: I got to take note to stock up some naan at home so that I can use it as pizza base during ’emergencies’ like this. Comfort food can do wonder for people’s mood! 😀

Utterly unbelievable things at Water World @ i-City

If any of you have read my review on i-City Water world and is wondering why my review is so negative, here’s some pics for you to see to justify my statement:

Just take a look at this. They opened the place to the public even though plenty of areas were still under construction. I wasn’t impressed, especially when no sign, no nothing were put up to warn the visitors.

And then there’s this…the water at their ‘River Adventure’ was utterly murky, muddy and disgusting that you’re liable to get skin disease if you don’t shower well after playing over here. Do note that this is a water park, not natural river. The water is not supposed to be murky. It’s supposed to be clean and treated with chlorine… or salt to ‘soften’ the water for that matter.

And one of their biggest worm? Their pools had fallen tiles everywhere, and this one was particularly taken from the children’s pool. Will you just look at that? In my opinion, the material used was dirt cheap…either that, or no maintenance were done at all! I shudder to imagine people getting injured while playing in the pool! The changing room was filthy too. It was flooded with water and was completely disgusting but I’ll spare you from seeing the picture. I wouldn’t want you to puke out your meals.

Cleffairy: Will you be willing to pay money to enjoy this kind of place? While I’m glad I get to spend quality time with my husband and son the other day, I certainly wouldn’t want anyone to risk any injuries. If you ever visit this place, please be careful!

Malaysia Homes Auction @ Propwall

Take a look at this house. Isn’t it lovely? Well, I’m not sure if you like this house or not, but it’s certainly nice to me. It’s conveniently located in the heart of Setapak, and comes with a swimming pool and 24 hours security. It is my dream house. Who wouldn’t want a house that comes with a swimming pool and tight security? I definitely want it.

But as nice as it is, it’ll take me at least a hundred of years to actually afford this kind of house. Do you know why? Because it’s really, really expensive. The market value of this house is at least half a million, and I definitely do not have half a million with me.

The price of properties is definitely pointing to the sky these days, and from the way I see it, the price is never going to come down. The price of houses are absolutely ridiculous in comparison to the previous years. In my humble opinion, unless you’re filthy rich or have strong financial backing, you’re never going to afford to buy any houses at all. Unless of course, you go for auctioned houses or properties, that is. Auctioned houses or properties is usually sold at  80% -85%  off the market value.

But the thing about buying auction houses or properties is that you have to constantly be on the lookout, and it’s not quite convenient to chase around for bank property auctions.

Luckily for us all, though, there’s this website known as PropWall. It is Malaysia’s largest FREE property resources website. It is pretty easy to hunt for auctioned houses or properties in Propwall Auction.

Basically, PropWall is a Malaysian property website that’s listing all kinds of properties that’s on sale and being auctioned off. You can say that it’s a one-stop place for property listings and it’s definitely useful for those who are looking for properties to buy or for those who wants to sell off his or her properties. All you need to do is register and login to the site and you’ll soon not only be able to search for properties that you wanted, but you can also put up your own properties for sale for others to search if you have properties to sell off.

Pretty convenient site, I must say. They even have mortgage calculator for you to use, in case you’re taking housing loans to buy those properties that they are selling.

So, ladies and gentlemen, if you’re one of those people who are scouting for a love-nest to call your own at an auctioned price, you might want to consider looking up PropWall. They might have something that suits you and your budget.

Thank you for the reminder

Things are rather tough for me these days. There are quite a few changes that I need to adapt to and to be honest, it really drives me over the edge, considering that I’m not exactly someone who respond well to changes. I’m the sort of person who more often than not, goes cuckoo over the changes in my life that I need to adapt to.

I’m the kind of person who needs a lot of time to get used to certain changes in my life.

It is an awful thing, especially when I tend to get extremely stressed up and depressed over a lot of things that’s going on in my life. Being stressed up and depressed usually translate to foul mood, which I admit, is no good for myself and my loved ones. Bad, huh? But then again I’ve always felt that anger is a much more manageable emotion and being depressed.

I never felt like myself when I’m going through certain phase of transition in my life and frankly speaking, it’s not easy to be me when I don’t feel like myself.

Anyway, like I said earlier, I don’t really feel like myself these days. I feel like I’m loosing ; the spirit of being me, but thank God for the reminders he sent me.

I, for one, don’t think it’s a coincidence that I meet plenty of people whom reminded me of myself a few years back. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence I meet people who have helped me and my family and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I’ve met a couple of people whom I have helped in the past and I definitely don’t think it’s a coincidence that I bumped into people who inspires me to be who I am today when I was just a child.

I suppose this is God’s way of reminding me of who I am, and who I’m supposed to be when I’ve forgotten about who I really am. Some would say it’s a coincidence, but to me,it’s God’s grace and nothing short of a miracle.

Cleffairy: Thank you, for the angels and the gentle reminders.

Celebrating Ruby’s Wedding

So, okay, I’ve been on hiatus for awhile. Some people even start wondering of I’m actually still alive and what I’ve been up to. So here I am folks, still alive. Doing fairly well.

So, what I’ve been up to these days? There’s plenty of things that’s going on in my life right now. Some is good while some others is not exactly worth mentioning, so let me update you on some happy things that I did few weeks back.

Let’s see… I attended my friend, Ruby’s wedding reception last Sunday.

image

It was held in Dewan Serbaguna Masjid Bukit Aman. I arrived fairly early with my son that morning, so there was not much guests yet. I can’t help but admire the dais. It’s so simple yet beautiful.
image
And check out the ‘Bunga telur’ wedding favour. Isn’t it lovely? These are handmade by the bride’s family.

Here comes the bride and groom, escorted by cute flower girls.

image
And what’s a Malay wedding without traditional music? ‘Kompang’ were played to cheer up the day too.

Congrats to the newly wedded. I may not me a fan of attending weddings, but frankly speaking, their happiness rubs on me and I’m glad that I decided to drag myself to attend their wedding reception last Sunday 😀 Will update more on the wonderful experience. I’ve learned so much and there’s so much to tell about it.

Cleffairy: Love is all around, only when you know how to find them.
