Sexy is Back!

How many of you married ladies out there actually attempts to seduce your husbands after being married for quite some time? Come on, tell me… I’ll keep it a hush hush. I won’t tell anyone. I promise. 😀

Still not telling? Well, it’s all right. I know most of you are apprehensive about discussing such intimate matters in public. I understand. But really, how long has it been that you put on a sexy lingerie with seduction in mind?

I think, for most who have young children, it’s been quite a while. At least that’s the case for me.

Yes, it’s been quite a while since I felt sexy and seduce my own husband. It’s not because I don’t want to, but you know…fatigue and commitment towards work and the kid… it’s just a complete turn off. But that just got to stop. It’s not healthy. I mean, marriage is supposed to be fun, especially in bed and not just about responsibilities. I thought I’d spice up my marriage a little bit…you know, in the bedroom department. I’m no siren and my lingeries are seriously outdated, and so, when I was invited to Wacoal Salute Reigning Supreme lingerie showcase quite some time ago, I jumped at the opportunity. I thought I’d get some ideas from the showcase and perhaps, grab a few lingeries while I’m at it before starting my seduction project.

Take a look at these…

Aren’t they just fine?

This set of sexy lingerie is one of my favourite that night.

But I bet my husband would love something that’s more bold and striking like this…

And this…red has always been his favourite colour where my bedroom attire is concerned.

The Salute Reigning Supreme line of lingerie are made from the finest material.

I was told that it’s made from silk and the finest lace from Europe, designed to hug your figure like a second skin.

Inspiring not only sexy and classy look…

But exquisitely demure as well.

These are just lovely, and I bet wearing this would turn me from a boring wife to a sexy girlfriend with a touch of innocence within seconds!

Salute Reigning Supreme line of lingeries are definitely for those wants to puts their sheet on fire.

Seriously speaking, I definitely would not mind wearing this…

Or this…

But if I were to seriously heat things up, I’d definitely go for these…the panties and bra set that comes with sexy garter belts.

There are so many exquisite lingerie to choose from Wacoal’s new line of lingeries. Interested in getting a pair or two ladies? Well then, Wacoal Salute is currently available at Parkson Pavilion, Parkson KLCC and Parkson Gurney Plaza. Just hop over and get yourself some sexy, sophisticated and fabulous lingerie!

Marriage is a two-for

You know what a two-for is, don’t you? You buy one, get one for free. When you marry your sweetheart, you actually get more than just one free. You get an entire additional family. What a bargain!

“Marry the man, marry the family.”

But the marriage math doesn’t end there. “And the two shall become one flesh. Since they are no longer two, but one” (Mark 10:8 NIV). Do the Math Awareness people have that one figured out? I doubt it.

God planned this unique mathematical equation: 1+1=1. If it sounds impossible, it’s not. But it’s not simple, either.

God knew it wouldn’t be easy for us to set aside our “me first” human nature and put things in biblical order. God expects to be first, and wants our spouse to be next in priority. Romans 12 reminds us, “in honor give preference to one another.” That puts me in spot number three in my life, running contrary to my selfish nature. But if I prefer my husband and he prefers me, we are each well cared for and the relationship is in order as together we submit to God. But if I get just one item out of order—my job, or friends, even my kid—the math equation begins to come apart.

The good news is that God is there when we forget how to add it up. And since He created marriage, He has provided the manual on how to care for it and how to repair it when needed.

So go to the author of the instruction manual on marriage. The one who believed it possible, if not easy, to create one from two. “Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together” (Matthew 19:6). Although this sounds like a warning against outside influences, it’s also a reminder to couples that even we do not have God’s approval to blow up our marriages when things get tough.

Cleffairy: Marriage. Crazy math. Questions? Go to the great mathematician. He’s got it solved.

Draconian, Hitler-like Employers Much?

A friend from my past called me up to catch up with me last Sunday. It’s really nice to talk about the long gone good old times and our visions about the future as the clock ticks tock away.

The guy is a guy best friend. My relationship with him is of course, completely platonic. We practically grew up together and don’t always agrees with each other’s opinion and I still can’t forgive him for laughing at me instead of helping me up when I fell into the muddy paddy field when we were kids.

As of late, he wasn’t really happy at work as his new employer have restricted policy where Internet usage is concerned, something that I take for granted as I never have such problems, considering I am my own boss. Apparently this friend of mine is pretty unhappy about not being able to access various social networking sites while at work, and his employer even have this backward policy where they discourage involvment in the social media world.

Now, I don’t know what the general public’s opinion in regards to using office Internet for personal reasons, but for me, as long as my employee can perform, I would not even care if they’re to masquerade as a Pay Per View adult performer online.

I believed in treating adults like adults, and I won’t care about what personal things employees decided to put up on the Internet. There should be no draconian, moralistic guidelines attempting to govern  workers’ private lives. So long as it wasn’t work-related, and didn’t impact negatively on the business, it should not matter.

To me, should people stumbled across whatever personal jokes that has been posted online by an individual;  I’d probably pass them as human, with senses of humour instead of taking offence.

Cleffairy: Still living in a backward country, aren’t we?

Sleeping with Superman

Those who knows me personally would know that I’ve been having a long term affair with the Man of Steel. Yups it’s an open secret that I’ve been having an affair with Clark Kent a.k.a Superman. I wrote about him countless of times. You can even read my love letter to him HERE. It was written a few years back. There are a few more entries on the last child of Krypton, but I’m just too lazy to make a dig on those old posts. You may use the search bar to on the top right if you’re interested to know how much I love Superman. LOL. ( Though I kinda hate the new incarnation of Superman in Man of Steel. The Reboot is kinda awful to me)

Neway, I stumbled upon these when I was walking around with my son in the supermarket the other day.

Man of Steel’s bed set, consisting of bedsheets, pillowcase and comforter.

image

Wow, I got to say, the House of El’s family crest is pretty cool here.

And Superman is awesome on the sheets too.

image

I definitely won’t mind sleeping with Superman. A possible cure for my insomnia, I reckon. Now, I wonder if I could get these for my birthday? *AHEM AHEM*

Man of Steel Trailer

I’m having a little bit of a WTF moment after after watching the Man of Steel trailer. 🙁 Not really sure how to feel about this movie, but I have a funny feeling that the movie is pretty much on the darker side and very very alien. Someone ought to have banned Christopher Nolan from touching Superman and make him stick to making movies for Batman! 🙁 (Oh wait, Christhoper Nolan actually ‘killed’ my favourite Dark Knight too! I swear the man is as evil as Lex Luthor and Zod!) It seems to me that Clark Kent’s alien heritage is thoroughly explored in Man of Steel while his Earthling upbringing, characteristic and romance is completely ignored in the reboot.

The trailer is pretty impressive if you like the crash boom bangs in movies, but, it’s not quite the portrayal of the hero of my dreams and the beacon of hope that I’m hoping for. This reboot is not very appealing to me. Clark Kent has always been an integral part of Superman, but here, I can’t even see Clark Kent. What happened to the secret identity thingie? Where the hell is Daily Planet? And Perry White is not supposed to be a Black!  Goodness…I have a lot to say, but I’ll save my grouse until I’ve really seen the movie to do my bashing.

Cleffairy: I don’t think I like this Superman reboot. Where the F*CK is the red underwear? The suit looks like a bloody alien armor for God’s sake! Stupid reboot! What is plain Superman without Clark Kent? Jesus!

Comfort Food Substitute

image

What’s your idea for a comfort food? I’d usually go for something extremely unhealthy for my comfort food…they’are usually thick patties grilled burgers with oozing cheese and pickles on top served with greasy fries or the good old pizza.

I was feeling a tad moody yesterday and was in dire need for comfort food. But I happen to need such food at such an ungodly hour and neither my favourite burger or pizza joint is open.

So I raid the fridge and came up with these weird combination: Tomyam yee mee with spinach, grilled chicken drumstick and baked sweet potatoes.

Weird combination but the substitute kinda works for a comforting meal. I immediately feel better after gobbling em up. Not too shabby eh?

Cleffairy: A lot of things in life can be substitute with something else. Sometimes we just don’t know and neglect to do it cuz we refuse to come out of our confort zone.

Inspiring Mondays: Special Mum, Special Son

Being a mum is never an easy feat, unless you’re talking about just giving birth and dumping your kids to some hired nanny or maid to take care of your kids until they’re fully ‘house-trained’. Now, that’s another story altogether. I know plenty of rich madams who did that and merely functioned as their kid’s ATM machine.

Being a mother is a walk in the park. Yes, indeed. A park with dinosaurs, that is. You’ll never know what will chomp you down for dinner. Okay, I’m kidding. It is not easy being a mum, what more a mum to special needs kids. I’m a mother to a special need myself, so I know how difficult life can be.

Today I’m featuring an interview with a very special mum, Erina Law. She is a mum to an autistic child, Delwin Cheah who is also a well-known savant artist. Read on and be inspired. 😀

Me:  You son is an autistic child. What was your initial reaction when you first discovered that he’s diagnosed with autism? And how do you respond to it, in terms of intervention?

Erina: I’m just like other parents where I felt lost. Not very sure about it. I cried and asking myself why it had to be me and Delwin. But, I’m a person who is on the positive thinking. I have to face the fact. My hubby is a person who don’t just listen to things just like that. He google, asking people and buy books to read.

Me: The society at large can be rather cruel when it comes to autistic children as generally speaking, not many knows what is autism and things that comes with it. More often than not, parents are condemned for bad parenting skills when their children behaves they way they do. Do you have any advise for parents with autistic children on how they can deal with the public’s misconception?

Erina: Autistic child are different from child with bad parenting. Autistic child – most of the time they are in their very own world.  Autistic child won’t answer back if they are scolded. They just don’t bother what you talk to them. Some had bad motor skill so they might be messy during eating so, is this one of the bad parenting skill they refer to? If an autistic child is talking and laughing to himself is it another bad parenting? At times when Delwin accidentally step on someone, I will apologize to the person and ask him to say sorry to. Immediately, they can’t say that we have bad parenting skill, right? We as parents did teach our kids. Anyway, we can’t please everyone.

Me: A lot of parents with autistic children are embarrassed with their children’s behaviour that they ended up locking themselves up at home. Any advise for parents who have low self-confidence in regards to this?

Erina: The child – we produce that product. How can a creator be embarrass with their own product? The more you lock yourself and the child at home, it only make things worst. As parents, we must have confident. Be brave, take the child out to explore and give him a chance.  Buy books to find out more. With today technology, Google about things that you wish to find out more. Then, ask around if anyone could give you some advice.
Me: Your son is a well-known savant artists. How did you discover his talent?

Erina: We discover his talent without realizing it. He started to draw at the age of 3+.  We didn’t stop him from there. We allow and encourage him to continue because we realize he enjoye it so much. We used art as one of a way to teach and communicate to him. As years go by, his skill had improve so much where friends, teachers and artists whom we know asked us to look into this matter seriously. From here, Lawrence went to find out more about art. What we do is continue to give him our full support.

Me:  How did you brush up his talent once you discovered that he’s a wonderful  artist? Any special classes that he went to?
Erina: Delwin didn’t go to any art classes. No formal training. We don’t brush him but we encourage him by allowing him to do what he loves to do. Everyone has their own favourite hobby or things they love to do. We enjoy seeing him draw.

Me: How do you get your son inspired for his masterpiece?
Erina:  We didn’t inspire him in his masterpiece. He is the one that make us look things differently from his art. You see different things from every different corners.

Me: Do you have any of his work that you’d like to share with us over here?

Pic: One of Delwin’s work

Another cute masterpiece by Delwin Cheah

A Ghostly take by Delwin

Me: Does he have a website? And if yes, could you re-direct us to his website, please?

Erina: Nope, I have yet to start an official website for him

Me: Are there any future plans on exhibition that we can look forward to?

Erina: Delwin had his  First Solo Exhibition  3 months ago and we are yet to have any plan for his next exhibition.
Me:  And last but not least, any inspiring and encouraging words you’d like to share with the readers over here? Perhaps they could benefit from it, especially parents with special needs children out there.

Erina: Every child are different. Different from their point of view, different talent, different behavior and many other things. Most important, do not force the child to do what we parents love to do. Everyone have got their own passion. Help the child to build their dream. Don’t just say it that you will do it but start doing it now. Spend quality time with the child and find out their talents. Sometimes, their talents will indirectly help them in changing. Delwin also play drum apart from drawing. By playing drum, he has improve his motor skill. No one know the child better than their own parents. Husband and wife should work together to help the child. I’m very lucky because my husband had been doing a great job as a father. He Google to find out more things, buy books to read to understand better and speak to physiatrist friends to have a better pictures. Then, both of us will discuss. My duty, to coach Delwin in his study and train him accordingly. I am a person who believe very much in training. By training a kid, it will help them. Finally, do not give up. As parents, we are their most important pillars. If we fall, imagine what will happen to them? Trust on your child capability. Trust what they can do. Trust them, encourage them, train them them – help them to make their dream come true!  Please bear in mind one important thing – ALL CHILD ARE DIFFERENT
